Every time I tried to use the standard X-Acto swivel knife it would explode or burst into flames. I'm so glad that there's finally a knife for women and by women. The only thing that would make this knife better is if it had some kind of lip gloss tube in the handle.

My boyfriend is a stencil artist and cuts his stencils by hand. He was complaining of a lot of wrist pain using a regular X-Acto knife and trying to cut out thousands of circles. I bought this for him for Christmas and he absolutely LOVES it. He says it makes very precise cuts, is easy to use, feels good in his hand, and causes no carpal tunnel pain. Best of all, it cuts his production time in half. I only wish I'd purchased this for him sooner.

I've only tried once to use this, but to me it felt like the head swiveled too much and I just didn't feel like I had control of my cut like I do with a standard x-acto knife. I'll try again, but initially I'm not a fan.

Really great for what I do, which it cut freezer paper for a stencil. But I tried it on thicker plastic ( notebook) and the blade came apart. I would think it your going to cut thicker stuff like plastic I'd buy a regular knife. I would buy this again the swivel is great and feels good in my hands.

I have recently started scrapbooking, don't reallyknow what I'm doing. This is a fun tool to use. Not exactly what I thought it would be. I thought "Swivel Knife", I'll be able to quickly and easily create curved designs for my layouts but it doesn't turn smoothly, like I had hoped, the edges of the things I cut do not come out smooth and even. Maybe I just need a little more time to work with it. It's a good product overall.

I thought this would be as sharp as my regular X-Acto I just got 2 weeks prior to receiving this... It's not as sharp and is a lot harder to cut all the way through regular paper. I would love it if it was just as sharp..
I like the way it swivels since my regular one doesn't do that. And if it was sharper it would get 5 stars. It might just be that it came with a dull blade but since new, I would think it would be as sharp as they come.

I have always avoided cutting out curved images or shapes, but this knife really works for me. I find the swivel managable, and I got the hang of it quickly. As mentioned by others, the blade is small and therefore does not cut deep, and thick card stock takes numerous passes unless pressed *really* hard, but for paper, I find it cuts superbly.

I bought this to use with X-acto templates because this is what X-acto recommended. Well I hate it. It is wobbly and tends to cut the sides of the stencil etc So far I am not having luck with X-acto products.
