I don't have much experience with archiving papers, but these seem to work just great.

I was debating between the 1inch and the 2inch and I chose these ones because I tend to devide my papers into more sections and not have a lot of papers in the same section so the 2inch folders would just be too empty and take too much space.

Even if for only one page of paper I know it will not sneak out the ends. However I also use the Smead File Jacket, Reinforced Straight-Cut Tab, 1" Expansion, Letter Size, Manila to hold software in the original packages. My simple tax return can be 15 pages without stapling.

I have been using these critters for years. However piddling and purchasing only ten at a time which runs out on first application. Now I buy it in a tad larger quantities and still find after replacing the cheaper free folders and colorful substitutes that filing and finding are easer.

The uniformity holds down the clutter and is easier to handle. So I know what is in my drawers, so what's in your drawers?

The jackets work well and have good capacity for what we need (2" folders have a lot of dead space). I think these are pretty durn expensive for what they are (fancy manilla folders), but Amazon's price is better than anyone else's, and if you need 'em you need 'em. :-)
