I honestly do not get all of the negative reviews. I have used Gorilla Glue for many years to mend countless things around my home. I was glad to find it when they introduced the new clear version last year. I have used this glue so frequently, that I can't even recount all the things I've used it on! It works great on wood furniture assembly, plastic to plastic, metal to metal, ceramic, cork... Really just many things. I know that the instructions say to wet the objects before gluing them together, but I've never bothered to do that. I just apply a dollop, or drop to whatever I'm affixing depending on the object's size. Though, like original Gorilla Glue, you really do not need much, use too much and it will ooze out and harden as it dries. Though the excess is easy enough to remove with a knife once dry. I have always applied the glue (clear and original) and allowed it to fully cure and dry over night before applying any weight or anything to it. But other than that it's a great glue and remains a staple in my tool kit. Oh and one person mentioned the "difficult, messy cleanup", but the wizened secret to easy cleanup is Isopropyl rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Apply either to a paper towel and voila--no more stickiness!!

I don't know what the other reviewers are trying to glue together - plastic, metal, ancient pottery, dinosaur bones, nuclear waste, whatever - but I use this glue primarily on foam. If you're into the RC hobby, you need this, hands down.
I fly RC airplanes - foamies, meaning models made of foam. However, I'm far from a good flyer, and things break almost regularly. I don't like using regular epoxy or glue, because it takes so long to dry. Hot glue is heavy. I needed a glue that dries (relatively) fast and holds together extremely well. The Gorilla Glue - Dries 2x Faster is the answer to my prayers.

This glue has one awesome, awesome feature: as it dries, it turns into MORE foam. So for all intents and purposes, it "heals" the crack or break with more foam, creating a light, durable, evenly-gripping material. You can easily sand away the extra foam, and presto - better than new. I haven't seen this characteristic in any other glue, and I don't need to - I'm sticking with this Gorilla Glue from now on.

This is my first time use of Gorilla white glue, and I am duly impressed.
Worked wonderful to glue heads of two cement yard statues.

They're an awkward shape, the break was diagonal
and couldn't figure a way to clamp the two pieces together, so I didn't
After adding a very thin layer of glue, then wet down the other side,
simply pressed the head on tight and held it a minute or two. Then let it sit.

Directions say to clamp for 30-60 minutes and - unlike original Gorilla - which is 80% cured in 1-2 hr,
this clear Gorilla is 80% cured in one hr.
I picked up the 25 - 30 lb statues by their heads after an hr and both were thoroughly solid at that time.

The glue starts working right away. It certainly buffs up 3-4 times the glue used, as is stated.
I tried to wipe off some excess glue as it expanded out the seam. I shouldn't have done that.
That left the cement with a wet look, but where the glue seem is, it's white.
I think I could have cleaned it off better/easier after the glue dried.

I'm gonna sand a little on the wet look and that should remove that issues.
Got some mortar (Quikrete type S) to fill in and mend some small areas.
Feel like the breaks won't be at all noticeable when done.

I don't have any doubt that this stuff will hold about anything together.
The only issue is the ability to manage appropriate clamping and removal of excess without damage.

Suggested for wood - stone - metal - foam - glass. Actually I can't think of anything that this
wouldn't work for, except polyethlene or polyproplene plastics, as stated.
Unless the expansion/thickness isn't appropriate.

I found it hard to get off hands.

Gorilla Glue is not for everyone. Why? Because it DOES need you to read the instructions on the package. Yes, you DO need to dampen (not wet) the surface, yes, you need to apply a little (as the instruction on the package says 'a little goes a long way') and yes, you need to clamp the gluing surfaces together and stay away from tinkering for at least an hour while it is drying up. These, particularly the last one, will give you a lot of mileage.

Surprisingly, Gorilla Glue's only issue that I find is not the gluing material nor the job it does. It is how you apply that little amount. Even after many years of 'improvements', the applicator needs more work to apply precisely the amount you want at the place you want.

If you can master the above art and stay patient after following the instructions, there is nothing except a broken heart that this Gorilla can't fix.

I use this on my RC foam aircraft. It takes about 25 minutes to fully set up, but it holds very well and allows for a little give in the glue seam, unlike brittle CA. A little goes a long way, but extremely annoying if you get any on your hands.
