The first time I ordered these, I cut the strips and it caused them to fall off and not work properly, HOWEVER the company offered to send another set free of charge and informed me to not cut the strips this time. They also said they'll work on the packaging to inform others that it is not okay to cut them...

So, with all of that said, excellent company to work with and an excellent product.

I ordered Laptop Lifts and they perform as advertised...not that I want to put it to the test, but I believe my MAC would stop a moving car if it hit it right now...the non-slippage properties are awesome! Great product!

The rubber feet on my Dell slowly wore down to nothing, and my laptop ended up sliding around my desk and easily sliding off of any un-level surface. It was still under warranty, and I contacted Dell for replacements, and they sent the entire bottom shell of the laptop, meaning I would have had to completely disassemble the computer, detach the motherboard from the bottom case, then re-assemble in order to address the worn feet. No way.

So I looked for alternatives, and found these. They keep the laptop pretty high up off the surface, about a fourth of an inch. This works for me, but keep it in mind if you have any logistical or ergonomic limitations.

And these feet allow for NO slipping or sliding, none. They hold tight to any relatively smooth surface. Now I no longer have to worry about my laptop sliding off my lapdesk, or being easily knocked so that it slides across the table and onto the floor.

The small bit of bad news is that - man, the laptop does not slide. I never realized how often I micro-adjust the position of the laptop while working, but it's several times an hour. So, picture that you're working at your desk, and you've sort of leaned back in your chair while working. Later, you decide to sit up straight, align your posture, and work from a more alert position.

When I do that, I also slightly adjust the location of the laptop so that my hands and arms reach it naturally. With these laptop feet you essentially have to lift and move it rather than slide it. You can make it slide with enough force, but then it kind of skitters as the feet grip/release/grip/release. The original laptop feet were a bit more middle of the road - they provided enough grip to prevent unexpected sliding, but were not so grippy that I couldn't micro-adjust the location of the laptop as needed.

But, that small nitpick aside, these are great feet. And for some people, that stickiness might be a plus!

These rubber lifts are a cool-and-useful product that make me wonder why they weren't invented sooner. I felt better and safer the second I put them on my laptop. Why? Because I'm a big coffee drinker with kids at home- a scenario that could easily lead to a computer-damaging spill. I feel a lot more confident taking my laptop to the local coffee shop because I know it's raised off the table surface, which often has crumbs or residual liquids. The rubber grip also stabilizes my laptop on different surfaces. The package instructions and illustrations are clear. I installed the lifts in about 5 minutes. Cool product.

The lifts are not bigger than the little feet on my laptop so I thought , as far as air circulation. they would be of no value..I put them on anyway,,the next time I picked up the lap top it started to slip out of my hands ( I have arthritis) the lifts prevented a possible catastrophe...I have recommended the lifts to friends...what a blessing

These lifts work very well. I made sure to used an alcohol swab to thoroughly clean the area I was putting this lift. It took some experiments to see where the best placement was. I just put some masking tape over the lift before I turned it over to check the positioning. It took some trial and error because some places I put the lift would cause my laptop to wobble. After a few tries, I found the perfect placement. So I removed the adhesive backing and applied to the cleaned area. They are holding up very well. The traction on these things is phenomenal. Once I set my laptop down, it doesn't move. I am very satisfied. Fortunately I have two pieces I didn't use. I can't wait to find something else to use them on!
