When I saw the brand name, I felt confident that this would be a great bag. Bad news. It's not. Very little padding and, as I stated in the headline, the handle tore off with only a weeks worth of use.

I just bought a Compaq Presario Laptop. I think it has a 15.5" wide screen. Not exactly sure on the measurement. It's not 17 but it is wider than my old laptop. This bag is great. It not only holds my laptop but I'm able to carry my Kindle, extra battery, mouse, dc adapter, wireless headphones, ac adapter, software, and even my xpad (cooler). I ordered a roller bag for my work laptop and I was impressed how this bag hooked onto the handles. I even impressed my co-workers as they hadn't seen anything like it before. Sometimes I have to take my personal laptop to work and use both of them and it was great to be able to slide my Kensington bag onto the roller handles and roll them both into work (as I have to park a fair distance from my place of employment so it's easier on my back to roll the laptops in than carry them).

I love the look and style of this bag as well as the price. It's not too expensive and not too cheap. Highly recommend this bag.

I read the reviews of some of those who purchased less expensive Kensington cases ($20-$30 range), and it seems that there may some quality issues with those, but if you're willing to spend more than $40 for a Kensington bag, you won't find any problems with quality. I have had a different Kensington bag for five years now for my older laptop and it has gone everywhere with me. It is still as good as new in terms of the stitching, etc. I ordered this new one for my new 16.5" laptop, which fits into the padded compartment beautifully. The best things about the bag are: it is very light, it is relatively slim and sleek, it has plenty of compartments for all the things you need to carry along with the laptop, and it is sturdy. I expect to have it for the next five years at least!

It was cheap when I bought it. That shouldn't mean much but it was compared to a Targus bag I bought prior.

The cloth loop holding the shoulder strap came undone and the bag nearly took my laptop down a flight of stairs.

Speaking of the shoulder strap, it's not terribly comfortable.

This is probably a decent light-duty bag, but if you intend to carry anything serious like a laptop and books, look elsewhere.

PIECE OF JUNK. It will probably last 6 months to a year but for $20 what do you expect. Fabric in poor quality.

Little to no protection (padding) from the outside to the laptop compartment but you get what you pay for.

To much trouble to return it so I will use it until I can't stand it any longer.

Nothing at all like the last Kensington bag I purchased for my wife a few months ago
