This is great quality thread

I sew all kinds of clothes as a hobby. I only user this brand of thread. It's very strong and they have a great vatiety of colors so I can almost always find an exact match for the fabric that I am using. Although Amazon usually has great prices it's best to get tis thread at your local craft store. My craft store had regular sales where the thread is 50% off. That being said, I am still happy Amazon sells it because when I couldn't get to the craft store (30 minutes away) to get thread for my daughter's Snow White costume this worked out great. Plus unless you're restocking your supplies the price of gas to get to your local store for thread might not be worth it.

Nice thread, but I don't see the difference

I bought this thread to sew cloth diapers because I had heard that its best to use 100% polyester thread to avoid wicking. Many diaper sewers online recommend Gutermann for the high quality over other brands. I do think this good quality thread, but I've yet to see why it is so much superior to other brands of 100% polyester all-purpose thread that are often a little cheaper. Anyway, the thread is good and I like the color.

Great quality, but careful about color selection

I really like Gutermann thread, I just wanted to highlight that I ordered the Dark Gray Color and once it arrived it looked much more like a very dark navy blue to me. So just keep that in mind if you're interested in a "true gray" – you might want to go with another color name.

My Go-To Thread!

I've been sewing for many years and I have yet to find any all-purpose thread that is better quality than Gutermann. Always smooth, works well with most fabrics and at a great price too. The color selection is very good too. I have a thread case full of Gutermann colors, I'm well stocked for now but nice to see it's also available here at Amazon, if need be to order.

I'm not sure how accurate the colors would be in the pics though. The shades only vary a small amount from one to the next, in reality. I agree with one of the other reviews, be careful about trying to match colors, if ordering based on the photos here.

Quality is great, color is off

I've purchased Gutermann thread before and it is a great price for the quality. The product arrived, and it is such a dark green that it almost looks black in some light. I'd hardly say that it is "khaki," but rather "dark green" or "forest green." I'll probably return this.
