After 25 years of doing my own perms, I've found this one to be the best for colored hair. Instructions call for 15 minutes max but 20 minutes does it for my curl resistant hair without leaving me with frizz. Because beauty supply houses, including Sally's, will not sell a perm to a non-licensed person, I have had to settle for inferior drug store perms in the past, but even they no longer carry them. How happy and surprised I was to discover I could order perms, particularly this one, on line and out of sight of the cosmetology police. Thank you Amazon and the internet.

Just finished giving myself the perm and I am very happy with the results.
My hair is soft and has just the right amount if curls. I've used Ogilvie Perms in the past and they left my hair frizzy.
As long as I am able to do a "Home" perm, I will be using Biolage Acid Wave

I love the fact this is available on Amazon for use at home. The instructions are very simple and you can't screw it up! It is a very gentle perm :) I do reccommend getting your hair trimmed so all the ends are even, before rolling. Made a huge difference for me.

Always before I would pay a lot of money to a salon to have this perm done when actually it is so easy you can do it yourself and get the same results.
