The AX Pro features re-designed speaker positions, for increased accuracy of 3d sound positioning. Microphone support has been added for the PS3, without any accessories! Independant control of Xbox Live Voice output have also been added, and a handy integrated Mic Mute switch. I have owned 2 AX360s and 1 AXPRO and I have had so send the AXPRO twice to get replaced!!!I use them with my xbox 360 for all my games specially for COD4 and GOW2. Dont get me wrong, they sound great but.......

The internal mic connection fails and they have had to replace the headset every time!!I would rather use my AX360 even though they don't reproduce any base and the only way to control the in-game voice is to raise the center channel.I don't know you but I rather have a product that is not so good but reliable than something that breaks in 1 month and sounds good.By the way the first time I sent them in was because they already came with the same problem. The second time it happened I was using them and they just stopped receiving any sound through the mic. I bought various 2.5mm to 2.5mm male extension cables the first time it happened cause I though it was a faulty cable they brought only to find out that the problem was within the actual headset (confirmed by the fact that the company replaced my headset with a new pair).It actually feels like the company rushed into launching them and didn't actually test the product.

Go with the AX 360s or higher end Astro A40s if you can afford them cause they're very expensive but from what Ive read you really get what you pay for.One last thing, the customer service and its personnel are very good but this can only help you so much if the product is awful.

The XBOX 360 chat cable didn't work out of the box. I registered my product on their web site and sent in an online support ticket for a replacement part. I got no feedback from Tritton for 2 weeks. I emailed my request in after waiting 2 weeks and received a reply that the replacement part would ship. 4 weeks later I still didn't have it so I called in. There was no record of my trouble ticket or my email. I made a verbal request for a replacement part over the phone and was told that I would receive a replacement cable within 2 weeks. 2 Weeks went by and no replacement. I have since made 2 more phone calls to Tritton at 1-week intervals trying to get a replacement part and each time I call I am told the part is either back-ordered, or has already shipped and I should receive it in a week.

Don't buy anything from these people. If their products fail they will not honor their warranty. I am giving them one more week before pursing a resolution with the San Diego better business bureau.

I just got the AXPro and played for about 6 hours, here is what I can tell.
The setup took me about 90 min because i didn't want to see all the wires. I have and Xbox and a PS3 so I really put some thought on where to put everything, (Hint if you have more than one console buy an optic switcher as I did in order to avoid chainging cables from one to the other).

Overall:

1) Quality of materias and pakagin 5 stars
2) Setup of connections 4 stars (it is not that complicated please read instruccions and put some common sense)
3) Controls, plenty of options 5 stars
4) Sound Quality very good 4 stars (note, it has an extremly good 360 ambiance positioning but you will have to play a little with the controls in order to get it right, it has very good bass but it will never feel, please note i say FEEL like a powered bass in a Home Theater.)

As an extra I would reccomend buying a different optic cable because the one that came with the headphones is to thin and to short, get a 5 dollar toslink on amazon they are good enough for this task.

If you are a gamer I think you would be very satisfied and your family and neighbors will thank you for the extra silence.

I will keep playing for another two weeks, after that I will update the review.
