Beautifully made - the leather is buttery soft, the satiny lining inside the case is well executed and the stitching is fine and precise. While there is plenty of room in the cavity for my Montblanc Meisterstuck Classique 145, threading the flap through the retaining loop with the pen inside is very snug - I don't believe it would be possible at all with a larger diameter pen, like a 149. This does, however, eliminate the possibility of the case coming open accidentally. Ample closure flap should accommodate pens up to 6.25" in length. I appreciate the subtlety of the embossed Royce logo on the reverse; no need to shout its brand from the rooftops and leaves plenty of space for personalization should it be desired.
Bottom line: it's an elegant and luxurious way to protect a favoured writing instrument from damage in a purse or briefcase.
