Great Packaging for Overlooked Music!

This was a great deal for packaging five of Santana's mid-period albums into a box set of mini-lp CD's. While not really laden with hit singles, the quality and consistency of the music from Carlos Santana is one for the ages. The sonic quality of the CD's was a pleasant surprise as well. The only draw back was there was no booklet or liner notes with the packaging. It would have been great to have had something to give this music some sense of historical perspective. Bu I guess the music speaks for itself. Either way, this is a recommended collection.

Inspired Reurn to Form

An excellent selection of post jazz period Santana albums. His return to an approach more aligned to the first three Santana albums was imo an inspired choice (though I have to admit I did enjoy his so called jazz explorations though not to the same extent as the earlier materiel). Looking forward to the forthcoming Santana IV album release!!

Great Album Classics

From his middle period, 5 very enjoyable albums. Even though these efforts did not top the charts all 5 albums stand the test of time.
