Hi, I bough this bajo sexto about two weeks ago for my husband, since he is starting a norteno band. Well I don't know much about music but the sound is great, and all the band members love it, they can't believe it cost so little. So I guess it's great for this price I really recommend it.

Excellent entry level instrument. The quality isn't 100%, but its sure is close (I'd say 89.99/100). These seem to be made by machines rather than by hand. I ordered it on a Thursday and opened the box Saturday, crisp finish on the paint, came with all 12 strings and all, ready to be tuned and played. It sounds & looks great. I bought this out of curiosity, since i already knew how to play, i just never actually owned one of my own. For the price, you Cannot go wrong with it. I'm an experienced player and i put this thing through torture, night after night, & through long days of continuous use. Finally after a year of that, the saddle started to unstick (yes, its glued, bad choice for an area that holds 12 strings taught, & repair costs half of the original price).
The strings are Amazing for stock strings. Never had i seen a bajo sexto or guitar that came with Great strings that didnt need replacing. I changed them for a GHS set after 8 months since they started to go flat. I'd recommend this for anyone looking to learn to play bajo sexto. Strings go a little flat or sharp over night depending on temperature and moisture in the air (like most wood instruments, but this one a bit more than others) a quick tune and its ready for action, but these are things that musicians learn about their toys in time etc.

The tuner is Amazing as well, dead on, it does require a 9v battery i believe, and it works with vibration and not sound, so you can tune while people yell and music plays all around you, it'll only pick up the notes made by the instrument.
