Bought this to use for some soup (chicken gnocchi soup, Olive Garden recipe) as well as the occasional pan-frying with some EVOO, garlic and parmesan cheese. Aside from the soup, this gnocchi has an odd flavor to it and honestly I only purchased the whole wheat gnocchi because the original potato variety was out of stock at the moment. It DID save me 1/2 the cost by buying this brand as compared to the local store prices however I won't be purchasing it again. In the soup, however, it gets cooked long enough that it doesn't taste like much and merely acts as a 'dumpling' so it's not obvious in the soup. I tried everything and nothing changes the flavor from "eh" to "good", unfortunately!

These lasagna noodles are great-tasting, healthful, easy to work with and reasonably priced. We made a ginormous batch of vegetarian lasagna, eating some and freezing some. Have since pulled out frozen lasagna and can attest that these noodles freeze and reheat VERY nicely!

Living in a rural area, with one grocery chain offering very limited selection, it was wonderful to find these whole wheat elbows available through Amazon instead of a 60 mile round-trip to the nearest grocery that does carry them. And they are very good - I use them mixed (until my husband gets used to them) with regular elbows and enjoy the wonderful flavor that whole wheat brings to dishes. Would definitely recommend.
