Our family loves the color & shape of this plate. We have plate racks in our kitchen and every plate is exposed. The bright colors - this scarlet, plus yellow, cobalt, green, etc - make for a very interesting and cheerful display. Square shapes make them far easier to use in a plate rack. The plates are durable, sturdy, and chip-resistant, as well. A great buy, as long as you compare prices w/ your local stores.

The Homer Laughlin Fiesta line continues to impress me. I collect pieces frequently so that I have a cabinet full of colorful, sturdy, fabulous dishes for every day use. This plate is a nice size, and I like the shape and of course the color. I also ordered the shamrock. Excellent plates.

I wasn't sure I'd like square Fiesta plates, or the ivory color...I'm more of a round and colorful kind of person. But when Amazon had them on sale and 4-for-3 to boot, I thought I'd give them a try.

Much to my delight, the ivory color is quite attractive--almost a pale yellow. The plates themselves are nice & heavy, and I enjoy eating off them. They are curved and slightly larger than the round version.

The only minor quibble is that they don't fit in my dishwasher as well as the round plates, due to their curved design. But that won't stop me from ordering more!

Now to find similar color for some of the smaller plates as singles and not in sets that are not too pricey.

I fell in love with fiestaware on my vacation last year. The cabin my husband and I stayed in had a fully equipped kitchen with many fiestaware pieces in all sorts or shapes and colors. Since then I've decided to replace my current dishes. I absolutely love playing with the variety in colors available. The square plates provide more than enough room for a nice meal. The dishes are very durable. I would recommend shopping around online as well as in stores and watching for deals, however most of my dishes were purchased through Amazon as they've provided the best price the majority of the time.
