Really, I have tried everything, trust me. I have two toddlers, 2 & 1. I have a cupboard of over a dozen straw cups each with it's own set of issues: leaks, straws are too chewable, breaks, spills, straw impossible to insert, straw takes 20 minutes to insert, hard to clean, straws melt in dishwasher, nothing comes out when you suck, straw detaches, lid doesn't screw on-why am I telling you? You're all parents like me with the same issues! Back to this cup-god sent. fantastic. amazing. leak-proof. teeth proof. dishwasher proof. I'm certain it can even be ran over by the car. They have been kind of hard to find lately, as I need more to replace the dozen other junk ones. The panic that ran through my heart that I couldn't find them pretty much ruined my holidays...but alas, here they are on Amazon! I'll take any color, style, I don't care...as long as it's this cup that me n' my family love.

My 15 month old and I have tried every possible sippy cup out there. The Playtex Insulated Twist -n Click Straw Cup is the only one we use. It's the only one I've found that doesn't leak.

After trying any sippy I could get my hands on, my 15 month old transitioned to them easily from his bottle at around 10 months old. Since then, this is the only sippy cup we've used.

The cups that I bought way back then, 5 months ago, are just now beginning to wear out. For the past month I have had some trouble with the straw mechanism coming loose inside. I have begun tossing the ones that don't fit snug anymore, as when they come loose the straw is no longer spill proof.

There doesn't seem to be any replacement straws out there, as I can only find munchkin replacements. I've contacted Playtex about purchasing some replacement through them, but have not heard back yet. Until then, I just bought another set of these cups and am using those straws instead.

UPDATE: 01/20/12

I contacted Playtex via their website and expressed an interest in purchasing replacement straws for these wonderful sippy cups. I explained to them the problem I have been having with the valves becoming loose after a few months of use. They shipped me 4 replacement straws via USPS free of charge! If anyone else has had this problem, here's your solution! I'm not going to bother wasting my $$ on another brand's replacement straws now. They assured me if I had any more problems to e-mail them again and they would send me more!

It will be standing straight up on the counter and milk will start coming out of the straw. We can't figure out what the problem is or how to fix it.

I love this cup for my 1 year old. I originally found them in my grocery store by chance but haven't been able to find them anywhere since then. There are two straw pieces that have to be connected. Most of the negative reviews are because of milk leaking up and out of the straw, but that is happening because people are sticking the two straws too far into each other. The two straw pieces only need to be inserted a little bit. When you do that, this cup is completely leak proof. My son holds it upside down and throws it. No leaks!

These cups spill when thrown off the highchair. Also, the straw has to be pushed in just right and just far enough and etc. etc for the liquid to come out without resistance. Would NOT recommend this cup.

These are the best sippy cups ever. These are the only ones that my daughter absolutely loves and they have been quite hard to find, since not many retailers are carrying them anymore. Was very glad to find these on Amazon! They have very minimal leaking. (Ours do leak a little, but I am sure it's due to the fact my daughter seems to throw or drop them a lot.)

These are nice because they don't leak and my daughter cannot remove the straw. She does chew on the straws and I've found that some of the older ones have torn. I just cut the straw shorter when I notice that it's beginning to fray. I wish that we could buy replacement straws for these cups.

I use the Munchkin Mighty Grip Straw Cup, 10 Ounce and this set of cups with my 16 month old son, who refused to adapt to a regular sippy cup. I had read some articles from dentists saying that transition from bottle to cup with straw was better than transition to sippy cup anyway, so I figured "go for it." As compared to the Munchkin cups, these don't hold quite as much liquid, but are insulated so drinks stay cold for a reasonably long amount of time. The Munchkin cups are a little easier for my son to hold, but I like that the lid on this cup has a sliding piece that can be slid over the straw so they don't spill if I put them in the diaper bag/cooler, which the Munchkin cups do not. These do make a weird, high-pitched soft squealing sound when my sons drinks quickly from them that can sometimes get a tiny bit annoying, but overall I really like these cups. I clean by hand, not in dishwasher, and these come apart and re-assemble very easily, don't seem to leak so far, and my son likes them a lot.
