great shoes, June 3, 2009
these shoes are absolutely great! They are extremely light, made from very flexible material, and I fit like a glove!
Great training, long-run shoe!
Good for the 'normal' runner...

First Impression, performance report, August 17, 2009
This is an excellent shoe for the money. I went for my typical 3 mile conditioning run tonight, this pair of shoes' maiden voyage. I have never run a shoe for the first time that it didn't give me some sort of discomfort, until now. The OTG is very light and, despite the soft upper, quite supportive. There are no gaudy overlays to pinch the toes or rub in all the wrong places. The soft heel counter was a pleasant and comfortable surprise; I didn't even notice it, but it performed superbly in holding my heel in position. I have read other reports that complained about the lack of arch support on this shoe; I had no problem. Quite to the contrary, I found it to be just right for my normal arches and midfoot-strike running style. For once, my feet weren't sore from the overbuilt arches that most stability shoes feature. The cushioning factor is very good, considering I weigh around 175. You light-weights will have no issues with the space between your feet and the road. Finally, the medial post on this shoe is adequate for me, as a mild over-pronator. This is a plush shoe and well worth a look, as well as being a refreshingly different take on running shoe engineering. Enjoy the ride!

12,000 miles with these shoes, September 27, 2009
I really love this shoe. I recently drove cross country and purchased these shoes just before leaving. I choose these shoes as a good lightweight travel shoe that would also be stylish when in sneakers. I am really happy with all the more I've done with them. These shoes have been to South Carolina, Charleston, Savannah, Miami, New Orleans, Austin, San Antonio, Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell, Albuquerque, NM Petroglyphs, National Petrified Forest, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Sequoia NP, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Frisco (I'll call it what I want), Redwood NP, Crater Lake, Portland, Seattle, Olympic NP, Mt Rainier, Glacier NP, Yellowstone, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Custer State Park, Grand Teton, Badlands NP, Madison WI, Chicago and New Jersey. I used them to hike in most of those parks listed including hiking to the Colorado River and back at the Grand Canyon. Because they are so light and because of the open mesh they allowed my feet to stay cool while hiking in 120 degree weather there. I hiked 30 miles of the Wonderland Trail in 2 days; Amphitheater Lake in Teton, 25 miles in Olympic, etc etc.. I also wore them out for walking around the cities and with jeans for casual dinners. Very versatile
The open mesh is bad in wet weather and also when hiking on sandy places since it will kick into the shoe, however the sand is easy enough to shake out. Through the hiking and journey the shoes have shown a little functional wear in that the sole is not as bouncy but that is to be expected hiking up mountains. Otherwise the shoes are still in excellent condition and even survived a puppy dog chewing on them.
I will either order another pair or buy from same manufacturer again when I'm ready.
