A friend told me about this product. She is very health-conscious when it comes to food for her kids. One of her kids has allergy, so she has also been looking for good gluten free food products. She first found this line of soup base in a high-end food store in the East Coast and tried it out. Her whole family loved (and still loves) it. She sent me one as gift a few months ago and we tried it out and my kids love it too. We used to boil meat and vegetable or 2-3 hours and used the soup to cook food for the kids. This was very time and energy consuming. We tried other soup bases in the past but the kids complained about being very thirsty after drinking those. This one is great. It saves us a lot of work and the kids still get healthy delicious soup! I recently found it on Amazon & bought 5 different flavors. The order arrived within 2 days with my Amazon Prime membership and we now can enjoy the different flavors.

so its not perfectly beefy tasting, but it has no msg, and no gluten and I really like it. I drink a bowl in the afternoon when its cold and rainy. to beef up the flavor in soup I add a shitake mushroom. it is a powder, so may be kept in cupboard, not fridge.
the better than bullion brand is kept in fridge, and I had problems with it going bad 1/2 way through the container.

Being a vegetarian, I am thrilled to find this beef flavored base. I use it quite a bit in flavoring soups, and vegetable dishes, or when I make oat patties. I love the flavor it gives my food. I like the fact that its not cubes, so I can use as much or as little as I want. I will definitely be reordering this. You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy this instant beef base, so go ahead and try it.

I purchased this product because we make a lot of home made soup at my house and my granddaughter is vegetarian...only problem was that she avoids meat flavored foods. But the rest of us who like beef flavor were happy with it and found other uses for it, such as gravies and sauces. Also, I appreciate the lower sodium factor for health reasons.

Best beef base for gravy. It is lower in sodium but still makes a great tasting beef stock. Just add water and heat it up. If you are looking to get away from the brands in the box that seem to be about 80% sodium this is one of your best alternatives. If you have reduced your beef intake this little container will last you for years. Also try the chicken veggie stock by the same company. You will never need to worry about having to wip up a gravy in a hurry when you have these Vogue products in your pantry.
