I ordered two, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. BOY, were these packed well and protected! But as is my habit, I began dusting, using one in my left hand and one in my right hand for twice the coverage and done in half the time! Really! It doesn't take that much coordination!!!! May I recommend a quick thumping outdoors one a bannister before first use? I didn't and lost a couple of very small pieces of some fluff, but that won't happen to yours if your hit the handle a couple of light hits outside. As for being a meticulous housekeeper, I cannot be pleased with maid services and have tried them because they were bonded. I am too afraid of a lone wolf cleaner for legal reasons. So I take my tools and products seriously as I want good return on my efforts. I have had an ostrich duster in the past, but certainly not of such fullness and quality.
I have VERY expensive silk plants in my home bought from NATURAL DECORATIONS, INC. These are difficult to keep clean with traditional microfiber dusters. Where I buy my furniture, the pictures and accessories were always dust free. I watched the cleaner one day and she was using a large feather duster. No dusty silk plants anywhere!
These ostrich feathers are soft and pliable. They fit on and in between all my signature Polish Pottery which occupies an open china cabinet. That room tends toward being dusty even with the use of a "dust free" cat litter close by. The picture frames and silver service and so on were dusted quickly (especially using two dusters) as were the wooden blinds. Head is a bit on the skimpy side, but the long handle works well for dusting ceiling and floor moldings without getting on a ladder or stooping. Works much better than the microfiber duster is mistakenly bought before this.

Wow.... This duster looks like it ate my last one. The feathers are long & stiff enough to get in places. My last one's feathers started to shed after 5+ years, & I replaced it with a microfiber one since target was no longer selling feather dusters... I was incredibly disappointed & immediately started researching new ones online. I was not expecting anything this large... Really, it's the height of a small child & the feathers encompass my kitten. It might be a bit too large.. But it's so wonderful - thick, full, long feathers that are stiff. Definitely great for high reaching places. It arrived about a week earlier then the original expected date - but in a giant square box- would have been better to ship in a tube.
