I bought a container of these bows to use at home on my Havaneses. If you aren't familiar with the breed, they about about 14 pounds (well, ours are, anyways!) and have fur that ranges somewhere between a Maltese and a Bichon Frise. These bows are perfect for them! They hold just enough fur to keep a nice topknot of hair out of the dog's eyes. They are well made, durable, adorable, and very economical. Even on my rambunctious dogs, the first barrettes I used have lasted for several weeks before I even had to think about tossing them and replacing them with new ones. This container is going to last us quite a long time! The colors and pattern are suitable for boys as well as girls, so they're perfect for our multi-dog household. I would recommend these for dogs that are maybe 7-20 pounds. Due to the metal barrette backing, they'd be a bit too bulky for a very small dog. Because of the metal parts, I wouldn't recommend them for dogs who would be likely to chew on them, such as puppies.

Slipped right out of our morkie puppiy's hair. Really hoped from description it would grip tighter, but even hair rubber bands slip out so I guess we just trim his locks for now.

Nice colors but the bows come apart from the barrette when taking the tags off. Had to re-glue the bows on. Puppies seem to like the ease over the tight bands
