These Penn Championship Balls are very good for the typical recreational player. They hold a great bounce throughout 2 hour rally. The felt remains intact, but like any pressurized ball that has been in play it will lose its bounce after extended hits after the 2 hour of continuous pounding. For the recreational player, you probably will not notice a great diminish in bounce or play. The balls will be good to use for the next 3-4 days bouncing less and less progressively.

However, for the experienced player who plays regular competitive matches, you probably would like to change these balls out after every two sets due to the stronger force and spin place on it in that setting. You would probably be better of suited using the more expensive Wilson Titanium, Dunlop Championship, Wilson US Open, or Dunlop Gran Prix for a longer lasting ball that will retain a strong bounce.

Overall, depending on what type of player you are, you'll be perfectly fine using these balls for practice or recreational play. I would recommend these balls. You can find these cheaper per case at Costco at $30 per case.

Penn balls fluff up too big ,there shape and bounce is inconsistent. They feel lighter than the other brand balls but they are probably still within spec.
I recommend Penn Marathon balls. They cost 20 bucks more per case but they last 3 times as long playing great during that whole time.

If you plan to use all of the balls in a few weeks or just dump them into a hopper, then they may be okay. I played infrequently (opening a new can only every other week or so), but the majority of the "new" cans all went flat after just a few months. The box was kept in the house at room temperature (not like I had them in a cold garage).

Nothing complicated here, just plenty of cans of high quality balls at a very reasonable price. If you play a decent amount of tennis, you'll likely go though plenty of cans as they deflate after use. Why not buy a season's worth in one go? As far as I can tell (ranked 274,312 in the world) these are very good balls.

I can certainly understand being unhappy about not being shipped the advertised quantity. My order came exactly as promised, so maybe the other reviewer was just unlucky.

Hard to think of a lot to say about tennis balls. We play a lot and always need balls, great to have them on hand. Also, we like buying from Amazon because they are always new, what i mean is sometimes the balls are old and with age loose the crisp bounce. We have yet to have this problem with Amazon.

Probably everyone looking at this has already played with Penn champ's a thousand times. They work fine, last long enough for me as a casual player. Amazon doesn't have the best price per ball at this bulk, but it was convenient and shipped super fast. Don't break loyalty to a pro shop or distributer, but if you just need some practice balls quick, this is an okay deal.
