Right now I'm giving 4 stars based on the quality of the product and how well it fits the bike with little modification. I am having trouble though because this tank has two petcocks (fuel valves if you can't say petcock without giggling) and the original tank has only one. The other issue is that both petcocks are lower than the carburetor fuel intake. This is causing cavitation in the line and air to flow backwards interrupting the fuel supply to the carb. I am going to try a larger diameter fuel line (I got smaller diameter thinking it would make up for two petcocks) and only turn on one valve at a time. I really feel like the product is great and it's only user error that is holding me back right now.

ORDERED THIS TANK AND IT WAS BACK ORDERED FOR 2 MONTHS. COULDNT FIND ONE THIS BIG ANY WHERE ELS SO I WAITED. GLADD I DID. FIT MY DRZ400E PERFECT. HAS PET COCKS ON BOTH SIDES. PET COCKS ARE PLASTIC NOT METAL BUT SEAM TO WORK GREAT. AN EXTRA 1.65 GAL I DONT PACK EXTRA FULL. HIGHLY RECOMEND.CANT EVEN TELL THE EXTRA WEIGHT OF FUEL WHEN RIDING.WOULD HAVE GIVEN 5 START EXCEPT FOR PLASTIC PET COCKS AND TANK IS MADE OF DIFFERENT PLASTIC THAN STOCK BUT WOULD BUY AGAIN.

The installation was easy enough, but the capacity is no where near 4.2 gallons. I pushed my bike to the gas station with the new empty tank installed. It overflowed at 3.5 gallons. That cuts the advertised range down 40-50 miles depending on the type of riding. An extra 1.2 gallons over the stock tank, not impressed for $200.

Was installing this on my 1999 DR350. Took a long time, and ended up needing to get a male to male fuel line adapter. Like somebody else mentioned, for 200+ dollars, you really should get steel petcock levers. One of my lines has a air bubble in it that I can't seem to get out, that is probably just user error though. Great tank, my only complaint is the plastic petcock levers.

Relatively easy to install and the tank fits well. The kit was missing the plastic T that connects the two petcocks and connects to the carb. Plastic T was standard size and available at a local auto parts store.

Great tank, perfect fit and comes with everything needed to mount and run it. The only thing I would like to see different is the fuel line that is supplied. It fits the cap perfectly but it was a super tight fit on the petcocks and carb inlet. This is easily replaceable so not a major issue.

Awesome tank but I have a few issues. Petcocks are cheap and plastic. It came with a T connector instead of a Y fuel line connector. And the fuel line from the right side petcock is really close to the exhaust and it gets scary hot. Might just close the petcock and remove that fuel line
