Been taking this brand of RYR along with CO Q10 for 6 months. Got my lipid profile results last week and I couldn't be happier :) My LDL (which has been problematic for me having familial hypercholesterolemia) went down 33 points! My HDL went up 16 points and my total cholesterol went down 17 points. My blood sugar too is down from 109 to 89, don't know if that's related to taking this red yeast rice. My osteopathic doctor is the one who recommended I stop taking Atorvastatin as the risks (in my case) outweigh the benefits. Been going to physical therapy to alleviate the muscle weakness caused by taking statins for years. I heard it is irreversible but it is getting better. BTW, I didn't change my lifestyle - I continued to exercise 3-4 times a week and eat healthy (limit cheeses, eggs, fried foods, and no red meat)..

Have been using this red rice product for 4 years. Since supplements are not regulated or tested, I only use supplements made in the USA.
My Total Cholesterol has returned to normal and I have lowered my blood pressure to normal limits and been able to discontinue my high blood pressure medication. (lisinopril). Amazon price is competative and they always seem to stock.

My cardiologist wanted me on some type of cholesterol maintenance but I l did not do well on the "regular" statins so suggested Red Yeast Rice. This is the supplier that seemed to have the most effectiveness based on the many reviews I have read. I do not have any side effects in taking two 600 mg capsules a day (morning). I have not had a blood test since I started taking this product so I can not say anything, yet, about my cholesterol levels.

I have used other brands but this is the best. The doctor wanted me on a prescription but I asked for 6 weeks to see if I could do it on my own. My cholesterol dropped 60 pts in 6 weeks.
