I've had a trash compactor for over three years now. We started with the very expensive brown bags. I liked these because they were fairly easy to put in, rarely tore or leaked, and were fairly easy to take out. The price was concerning though, so for some time I switched to store brand plastic compactor bags. I found these even easier to insert, as well as to tie up and remove. However, I couldn't get them to stay up - every time I compacted, it would pull the entire bag down which was a real mess to pull back out and set up.

Whirlpool has solved for almost all of these issues. It's all about the slits they added which secure to the plastic knobs on the side of most compactor bins. Now the bag stays put every time. I'm saving money, they're easier to insert, and far less messy.

I went with four stars because I have two suggestions for Whirlpool:
1) add some printing in the area of the slits to make them easier to find - maybe a circle around the slits?
2) add more extra plastic at the top of the bags to make it easier to tie up the bag and take out.

I will be buying these again.

I actually wanted the paper compactor bags but am so glad that I got the plastic. I used to have to stick the paper bags in a trash bag before tossing it. You just put the twist tie on these bags when they're full and out they go! Very sturdy and fit nicely.

These trash compactor bags are the best we've ever used. they have the small holes on the sides to cover over the buttons to hold the bag in place (if your trash compactor has those). They are sturdy. The best part is the microban in these bags gets rid of ANY odor. No more stick ups and spraying airfreshener or lysol. These bags take care of any odor and are great!

These are good bags and pretty heavy duty. They fit well in my Kenmore trash compactor and include the "button holes" to keep the bag in place unlike some other bags I have purchased. They don't tear easily like some of the other bags either.

I order these for my Kitchen Aid Integrated Trash Compactor and they fit perfectly. Am on my 5th re-order. I also own the trash compactor bags sold at Costco but use them for other things. These are the ones to buy! Very strong. Never any leakage.

These are good bags and have the holes to attach to the sides of the compactor. They don't seem quite as thick as the Kenmore bags that I have purchased previously, but they have not ripped, torn, or punctured. I will just buy these again since it's easier than going to Sears.

They have changed these bags! For the worse I'm afraid. They are much thinner and also smaller. This is not the first time we've ordered these, so that is why we were upset. You'd better find a different product as we will do in the future.
