I bought this pizza stone and used it once before it cracked. Hopefully I just had bad luck. The pizza came out great, but I was pretty bummed when I went to clean the stone and found a crack running straight down the middle of it.

I was sent a replacement, hoping the 1st incident was just bad luck. Unfortunately, after only 3 uses the 2nd stone has cracked as well...

After a very bad experience (toxic fumes) with another pizza stone from Amazon, I didn't want to spend a ton on the ones I was with reviews of strange odors and cracking. I ordered this one because it looked plain and small (13 inches). It fits perfectly in my Breville convection oven. I made bread on it in my main oven yesterday, and about 4 pizzas and one calzone on it in the Breville. Fantastic crust and it is starting to season nicely. i am so pleased.

These pizza stones have worked well for baking pizza weekly in the oven for over 4 years. I was hesitant to buy because of the mixed reviews but am pleased with this purchase -- highly recommended, if you are careful when you use them.

Pizza Friday is a tradition in our household, so these stones get used often and have been very durable. We leave the stones in the oven all the time, so they are ready when we turn the oven on -- and allowing them to heat & cool slowly in the oven has kept them from cracking. The crispiest crust occurs with the oven at 450 degrees and these stones have had no problem with that temperature.

We prep pizzas on smaller cutting boards, slide the pizzas onto the stones to cook, then carefully slide off when cooking is complete. Also, the pizzas are not cut on the stone; repeated cutting might weaken the stone, leading to breakage. But I also prefer this slide-on-and-off method to serving on a 450 degree pizza stone, since it seems easy to get burnt carrying/serving on such a hot stone. It just takes some practice to remove the pizzas intact from the stones.

My one complaint is that these can be difficult to clean since they are porous. If cheese and/or toppings get melted onto the stone, it seems best to let it cool, then scrape off. Even if the pizza stones do not look pretty and clean after 4+ years, they work so well that it's easy to overlook that. And the pizza cutter seems rather cheap; we prefer a stainless-steel rocker for cutting the pizzas.

If I could give this a negative star rating I would. I purchased this over a year ago but used it for the first time recently. I used it to bake a pizza and it broke after one use. I followed all the instructions provided and it still cracked. It's unbelievable that they can sell this piece of junk. Money down the drain. So disappointed!

We have a large baking stone for our home oven ,but it would not fit the oven for the camper. We are very happy with this one we purchased,so we will have many uses for various foods I can bake ,& to munch away sitting around the camp fire!!

I bought this twice and it broke both times. I thought the first time might have been something that my family did to break it so I bought another one because I liked it used it about 5 times kept it in the over took it out to use and the new one was broken. Will not purchase again.

So far I've only used this on the frozen pizza. The results have been terrific. The pizza taste so much better when this is used instead of just placing the frozen pizza on a sheet of aluminum. The bottom is nice and crisp. Overall very consistent.
Basically you leave this in your oven while you "preheat" for a few minutes. then you put the frozen pizza right on top and let it cook as usual.
Since you shouldn't use soap to waste this stone, you can expect it to look a little grungy, but that's alright.
The metal holder is very helpful. I bake the pizza with it attached so it makes it easier to take out of the oven with the oven mitts.
I haven't used the free cutter as I already have one with a plastic handle which can go in the dishwasher, this one has a wooden handle so it would have to be hand wash. (I'm lazy) :)
So far we've used this about 10 times, no issues at all. Plan on buying a few more for X-mas gifts.

I suppose you get what you pay for. I don't really like to write negative reviews, but this pizza stone is horrible. My husband used this to make pizza on our grill, and it cracked right then and there.
It didn't crack in the middle..it fractured around the perimeter of the stone itself. Disappointed.
