I would recommend others to get it because it opens and closes fine. It's made out of what I believe is the same material that most retainer cases are made of. It was sent to me from a dental corp so I'm guessing it's legit. The only thing I thought was odd was the way they packaged it, it was kind of like they just threw some brown paper in and tossed the retainer case in a box and taped it shut. It definitely beats having to pay the $20 my orthodontist wanted to charge me.
