Well first off let me say that I have been a proud owner of this system, in a 7.1 configuration for over 4 years. This is my setup; I have a Yamaha RXV-2700, a HP entertainment pc, a Xbox 360, a PS3, and a 61 inch Samsung LED projection tv. The first thing I really want to stress is that these speakers have really shown brightly through multiple mediums of entertainment and music. I have been into the sound and video scene since I was a teenager and my passion and enthusiasm for this stuff never really goes away. Let me first remark at the sensitivity of these speakers. If you have a lower power receiver you can get away with this setup. I believe they are setup at 93db sensitivity so they are remarkably sensitive to any volume changes. I would recommend spending at least 700$ on your preferred brand of receiver to really make this setup perform like a champ. My standard is usually cut in half, what I spend on speakers is what I spend on the receiver. These speakers have both competitive and unparalleled price value. I bought my 7.1 setup for under 1400$ including shipping and handling. That is 8 speakers for under 2 grand....amazing. Most people who you might talk to compare these speakers to Klipsche. That would be an very proper assessment. The setup just like the picture is a double driver, mid/high rang horn loaded tweeter. I like many who never came into contact with horn based home theater speakers was skeptical. All of my concerns where immediately put to rest when I finally set everything together. This system is a legitimate performer for anything under 3500$. Volumes are a matter of taste as every level of sound is near perfection.Read more ›

I almost don't want to review these and keep the secret to myself. They have very few reviews and few people pay much attention to this brand. Let me assure you that they are extremely impressive in both looks and performance. The first time I actually played something at an increased volume level, I thought a window was going to break or I may cause deification to myself. Shortly after turning up the volume, I walked outside to take the trash to the curb. Both of my neighbors were standing outside trying to see what made their house shake...Lol. I comforted them and explained that I was only testing volume levels and would try not to have it that loud for normal listening.

Keep in mind that the sound is perfectly clear with no detectable distortion even at high volumes. Make sure you start with the subwoofer volume at a reasonable low level or you may have an accident in your pants.

I have shown these off to several friends and they are all very impressed. If you decide to purchase these, you will not be disappointed.

Im writing this review because i want people to know these speakers are amazing
I bought this speaker package (bic acoustech pl89 5.1with pl200 subwoofer) 2 months ago i added a pair of pl76 and a pair of pl66 for my 9.1 home theater set up.
I hooked these speakers to my onkyo tx nr3010 9.2 140 watt/channel and i amazed the sound clarity these speakers produce. I tried from low to mid and high vollume its all sounds great . at max vollume its very loud but clear sound. The pl200 is amazing the amount of bass produce by this thing is impressive my room was shaking like earthquate lol i have to put it at only half way vollume. Over all i am very pleased with my home theater system.
For those of you who want to put together a home theater system with a budget bic acoustech is the way to go. You will not be disappointed.

This is my first time using BIC products but had hear great things about them which made me ordering them an easier decision. These where ordered for my brother's home theater room. At my house I have ran Polk, Yamaha, Klipsche and currently use Martin Logan. These really produce great sound in a all in one package. The sound reproduction is very accurate and the horn loaded drivers are very articulate without being harsh. The midrange is not overbearing and voices are as they should be. I prefer a little more impace from my midbass when listening to music than I was able to get from these, that is my only compliant on the towers. The Center channel is amazing for movies, where IMO for movies the center channel can make or break the entire set-up, it does everything I want a center channel to do. The subwoofer is very accurate and never muddy or loses composure. For me it has the ability to go plenty deep into the lower to mid 20hz range. My brother actually wanted more output even after me tuning to where I felt it was way more than enough. Fix for him would be a second sub. The rears are on the larger size but are amazing when called upon by any movie. The cabinets look great with a classy look. After running 4 Blu-ray movies and 3 Concert DVD's through the set-up I would recommend these to anyone for home theater use or even music. I like the center channel so much I may switch mine out for one of these. For the price these are pretty unbeatable from my comparison.
