Q: I see a range of percent natural ingredients on Green Works products. What’s in the remaining % of ingredients which are not natural?
A: All Green Works products are 95% to 99% naturally derived. That means all of the active cleaning ingredients in our products are derived from Mother Nature, such as filtered water, plant-based cleaning agents, essential oils, corn-based ethanol and wood-based fibers. The remaining 1% to 5% of ingredients is a combination of preservatives, fragrances and dyes. Since natural ingredients can go bad, the preservatives help our products last longer. And the fragrances make our products smell nice — something our fans like. We're still working hard to find natural alternatives for our fragrances and preservatives, so the entire line can be 100% natural.
Q: Are Green Works products tested on animals?
A: Our Green Works cleaners will never be tested on animals.
Q: Are Green Works products biodegradable?
A: The Green Works compostable wipes are the only product that is certified for its biodegradability through BPI Composting certification. The packaging materials are not biodegradable, but are recyclable.
