Its so good that the dogs hated it enough to chew it to bits!
My wifes two Weimeranas have the attention span of soup, as soon as I let them out off the leash they are gone, and not always in the right direction ... until I got this whistle! The first time I blew the whistle the lead dog was so startled he stopped that fast that the other floppy eared idiot ran straight in to the back of him. They both came slinking back to me looking like soaked kittens. Every time their pudding brains disengaged and they took off after anything that took their attention (birds, rabbits, fireflies, a tractor about a mile away) this whistle would snap them back to attention ... which is why one the furry gits ripped my coat off the hook behind the door, shredded the coat pocket, and completely destroyed the whistle. I hate those bloody dogs!

My Labs took to this whistle right away. It is loud and it will whistle perfectly as hard as you can blow this thing. Plastic with a metal attaching ring. It just needs a string which I transferred from my old whistle that the dog tried to blow one day.

Use for irritating neighbor's barking dogs! After a traumatic accident, I developed extreme sensitivity to sound. I had neighbors whose dogs barked loudly and incessantly night and day. In desperation, I purchased the SportDOG mega whistle and in just a few uses, trained the dogs to be silent when the whistle sounded. This is a great product and can be heard at long distances. I was in NO WAY compensated or discounted for this review.

This whistle is working great for me. Just moved to a new place in the country on 5 acres and the dogs can't hear me yell for them. When I blow the whistle, they come running. It only took a couple days to train them, just carry some treats in your pocket and when they come they get one. The whistle gets really loud, depending on how hard you blow. Now I'm using it to redirect them from doing certain things they shouldn't do. Works great as a training tool. Very pleased with this product.
