I used this spray in the trunk of my vehicle, and in the two front wheel wells. It did reduce noise slightly on the front end, and it worked well with reducing noise in the trunk/rear end. I can say this isn't as good as "peel and stick" deadner sheets but it was useful for the very angled and curved trunk and the wheel wells. The spray dries quickly, about an hour in really hot weather, and was completely dry and "paint ready" within 5-6 hours. This does leave a smell for a day or two, but it clears out quickly. I'd suggest to leave the doors/trunk open overnight to let the vehicle air out.

The can itself is good quality, and sprayed a nice even coat and didn't clog up during the application. Just make sure to not let the spray dry on the nozzle or you'll probably have to unclog it. The can I received also had its spray nozzle NOT ON THE CAN, which is a great idea because I can imagine the can going off during shipping and ending up with a sound deadened, yet ruined shipping box.

I would suggest two cans, because one can barely covered the surfaces I wanted. I plan on ordering another can to do the rear wheel wells, and to put a second coat on the front. The can says it can cover around 20 square feet, but you'll want to do multiple coats so expect around 8-10 sq/ft per can.

FYI, Amazon can only ship this via ground so expect a 4-7 day wait to get it. (If you have Prime, not sure for Free Shipping)

I was pleasantly surprised at what this did to reduce the noise in my conversion van that I am restoring. I didn't expect a big noise reduction just undercoating protection but it reduced the noise at least 50%. I did use about 8 cans and I put it on thick. I went over it twice to add a thicker layer and while I was planning to add Dynamat under the carpet, now I may not need it. I may end up getting enough to go over it two more times just to see. Your results may not be the same but it worked for me, not as good as the sheet Dynamat but the ease of putting this on is worth the trade off for me.

Wow I have a 2013 Nissan 370Z and the road noise is not too happy. I put the Dynomat all in the rear hatch and on the doors and still road nose too loud to talk at normal level on Highway. Partially to blame is the factory tires, though sticky and fat they are noisy. So I figured what the heck and bought 2 cans of this stuff to spray in the rear wheel wells and Bam at least a 10db drop in noise. Very Happy!! It works!

Does what it is designed to do. I got this to spray on my door panels and inside my trunk to stop the rattle from my subwoofers. As stated before, you will need more than you think. I ordered 2 cans, and ended up ordering another can for good measure. There is a noticeable difference once applied. It is best to apply in coats of course. And it does seem to expand a bit once sprayed. It can be very messy however, so make sure you tape/cover areas you don't want paint on because it will drip easily, and sometimes the nozzle will make a mess as well. Have a towel handy!

Used 2 cans to coat the underside of a new stainless steel sink. Worked great to replace the ting with thud.

I drive a 1989 Toyota MR2. This vehicle happens to have the engine, and transmission in the middle of the car for weight distribution purposes. They car idles at 2000 RPM when cold, which produces a tremendous amount of noise and vibrations. Also on the road, especially the open highway, they car SCREAMS doing 65 mph at 4000 RPM. Something had to be done. BOOM MAT. I lined roughly 40% of the engine lid surface area with boom mat, and the results are awesome. I had plenty of boom mat left, so I applied it to various parts of the engine bay's panels. Perfect. Now the car is quiet and smooth. I can now hear the air coming out of my vents, and other little things inside the car that I could never hear before. I highly recommend this product for sound and vibration dampening purposes. All you have to do is wipe the surface down, to remove all the dirt, and dust. If there are any sensitive areas (nuts/bolts/VIN info) just go ahead and throw painters tape over it. From about five inches out, go ahead and coat the surface liberally. If it's a hard to reach surface, carefully use the straw attachment. Let it dry for the prescribed amount of time. This is literally a super thick, sound/vibration substance. If there is any unwanted boom mat overspray, I recommend carefully using some brake cleaner on a soft cloth, and gently rub it off(before it dries). It's meant to last, but you don't want to damage any paint in the removal process. BOOM MAT in a can is truly the best of Amazon!

Sure looks, feels, smells like regular old undercoating and seems to work about the same for sound deadening. As others have said, it makes a major mess when applying. Count on ruining the clothes you're wearing, and make sure to put plenty of paper or cardboard around to protect the ground and anything else you don't want to get covered. You'll definitely want to apply outside.
