Good replacement part. Good price here on Amazon, compared to the local stores.
I can't say it is better than the original cutter and foil when they were new, but it was about time I changed the original foil and cutter, and this new one works well so far.
Note: this new one is silver, not black like the original, but I don't mind.
Also notice the pattern differences (see images I uploaded) in the foil and cutter.

My Braun mod 5614 is about 10 years old and works fine but was not shaving so close. Ordered this and it showed up 3 days later. Razor now shaves like a new one now. Totally pleased. Check your model number prior to ordering.

I used to swear by Braun electric razors. My most recent, a top of the line of the 5000 series, was wonderful when I got it. The first replacement blade/foil set was also wonderful. But the last set was awful, and the set I just got is even worse. I replaced a year old blade/foil set, and the new set is actually WORSE than the year old set. I think Braun downgraded components in their replacement head sets, and someone there should think about this very carefully... The result is NOT that I decide to go buy a new Braun, hoping it'll be better. The result is that have just bought a Panasonic to replace it, having bought a Panasonic two years ago to replace a Braun that had been my travel razor... and the Panasonic shaves better, even two years later (I travel about half the time, so the Braun and Panasonic get equal numbers of days of use) where after a year, the Braun's yanking and pulling and dull.

Basically, the poor quality and performance of the replacement kit motivated me to dump the Braun. Selling me a razor with one set of characteristics that you then don't sell in the replacements is just another form of bait and switch.

Based on how the product was advertised and shown on the seller's webpage, I believed I was going to receive an original BRAUN-item in the BRAUN-packaging. This is how it was displayed. I was quite surprised to received this item in a small and very tight ziploc bag, without any product information, or any other accompanying leaflet. Hence, the question comes up: What kind of item is this, where does it come from? I compared it to the foil head I currently have in use - which is an original BRAUN-piece -, and I could not tell any difference. Hence, I'll need to wait and see how it will "behave" once put to use.
