I LOVE this album. Sgt. York's lyrics tell stories that will haunt you, and the melodies will get stuck in your head (in a good way!). 'Possums' is a heartbreaking confession from a son to a mother; 'Cody' welcomes a friend's new son into the world; and 'Gas Tank' lightens things up with an upbeat tune layered against a melancholic ode to frustration and yearning. A great album to listen to while driving or on a rainy day--it's got that contemplative, melancholic mood that will draw you inward, but the music itself will lift your spirits.
