This quantity of celery seed should provide for the total life span of the average consumer. It's a lot. It is also somewhat impure, containing some dust and very small bits of plant matter. Not that it matters. It still does the job. So I guess I would recommend this product since it is very very cheap.

You get 3 one pound bags of celery seed, for the normal user this would be a lifetime supply! I have shared a bag with a couple of friends and one bag is plenty for me but the price is so good. In the stores if you want celery seed it is about a third of the price or more and you just get a little bottle. I add celery seed to a lot of my soup recipies and some salad recipies. My friends were delighted with the gift!

I use celery seed to control my gout symptoms. Mix one teaspoonful with a bag of green tea (mint flavored), steep 5 minutes in 2 cups of boiling water, sweeten to taste and no more foot pain!

I tried another brand, Marshals Creek, but they were bitter and became unpalatable after a few months. These are packaged in sealed foil-like bags and have a sweet aromatic and delicate flavor. I keep them in the refrigerator to prolong their life.

I crush them slightly in a small spice mortar & pestle to get the most out of them. Also, grinding them to powder with some salt is great sprinkled on salads, veggies and hot dogs (although the hot dogs cause gout).

I put two bags in the freezer , and have one I put in an empty peanut butter jar for daily use. I love being able to use bunches of seeds in my potato and egg salad. I shared some too! Don't know what I was think when I purchase this big bag of celery seeds. Their good but it's a lot of seeds.
Then I learned celery seeds are good for nerve damage, which I have. I fill 2 capsule with celery seeds and take with
lunch. Then I rubbed rosemary essential oil on my back up and down the spine. I'm not sure which one worked or if both work but 'it worked'. (got this treatment on 'curezone').
I'm afraid to stop either. So the 'lots' of celery seeds are being put to good use.

You may not need this much celery seed.

It's packed in sealed packages (three one pound packages). I opened on bag and put the seeds into a mason jar (new lid) to keep them fresh. I froze the rest hoping that would maintain freshness. If it doesn't, I'll include an update to report it.
