I love the "beachy waves" look, but I color my hair and sea salt spray doesn't seem to agree with it. This product isn't drying, but adds natural oils, at least according to the list of ingredients. My hair never feels stiff or sticky when I use it. My hair is naturally wavy when allowed to air-dry anyway, but with this spray, the waves can be not random, but strategic-- the places I scrunch or twist hold pretty well. I twist strands of hair into spirals, spray, give it a few minutes (or longer if right out of the shower) and then run my fingers through it. It works pretty well for touch-ups on dry hair, but when my hair is damp, I get the best results. It's been a godsend because I have chronic pain in my shoulders and don't want to fuss with my hair too long, and it actually has turned out prettier with the spray than with a curling iron. It does have a very distinct smell. It's kind of coconut-like, but not cloyingly sweet. I personally like it and it seems from the reviews that most people do. Glam Waves has disappeared from my drugstore since sea salt sprays became all the rage. So happy that Amazon has it.

I love this product. I have naturally straight hair, and let me tell you, I get a great beachy wave using this product. I couple it with the wave primer that Sally Hershberger sells and it holds all day. I especially love using it while at the beach to make it LOOK like I played in the waves all day when really, I didn't get much more than my toes wet. I highly recommend it. One thing, I don't use a whole lot on the roots as it can get a bit heavy. I recommend keeping giving your scalp about an inch before piling on this stuff. A spray or two at the roots will do wonders.

Way overpriced for not really doing much of anything. I have fine hair with a tiny bit of natural wave. This didn't work for me. I could have scrunched plain water (for free) and gotten the same effect. It did smell nice though.

This helps me enhance my natural waves. I just spray on wet or semi wet hair and let it air dry. It works about as well as other products that I have tried (nothing crazy). I really like this cuz the price is reasonable and even more because it smells amazing. I'm very picky with scents (lots of perfumes make me feel like I am choking or make me sneeze) but this smells lovely. In fact, sometimes after I use it my husband follows me around cuz he is following the scent ;)

This product did absolutely zero in encouraging my natural wave. It's rather sticky and oily and after I used it I felt I really needed to shampoo it out. While it's not as drying as sea salt sprays, unless your hair is naturally curly, you likely will get no definition with this product. I originally bought this at CVS because I thought it would be the perfect solution for me when I air dried my hair. But this did nothing other than make my hair feel very heavy and dirty. This is the second Sally Herschberger product I've attempted to use and both times I've been bitterly disappointed. It's a wonder that she's such an in demand stylist because her products don't work well at all. I'm sure she doesn't use them in her fancy salon because they've now been mass marketed and that destroys her cache. I won't be shelling out any more money to try any of her products because after two fails, it's curtains. I get better results with Bumble and Bumble anyway and I don't mind paying more for products that actually do what they claim. I was hoping I'd found a true bargain but now the almost full bottle sits on the shelf in my hall closet, where hair product FAILS go to die. I guess I'll end up recycling the bottle but it's a damn shame and I'm about more than $10. Any product that makes my hair feel dirty from the get go is a loser for me. This stuff is actually pretty awful and if you're thinking about trying it, choose something else. In fact, anything else would be better than Glam Waves!!

Great for wavy hair. Sometimes the back of my hair gets too wavy and the Glam Waves "let loose sexy curves "helps to keep my hair more evenly
wavy and it does not get stiff. Plus it has a nice spray and it is one of the few that have sea salt because the ocean water is the best for wavy hair.
If I could I would rinse my hair with ocean water every time I wash it.
