The electronics of this selector seem to work OK, tho I've only had it for two weeks.
The problem (+ hence the 2 stars), is with the mechanics. The cheap wire connectors pop out if you are not careful when connecting wires. And they're almost impossible to put back together (there is a tiny spring that you must contend with). You get what you pay for I guess. It's going back.

This product does what it should but the connectors to hold the wires do not hold them. As I installed the wires several of them unhooked and I had to spend more time putting them back together then it took to setup the unit. After I had everything hooked up when I move the unit some of them disconnect and I have to reconnect them.

The product works it just could be improved and I will be looking to replace it in the future.

I like this product. I used it to connect Zone 2 on my amplifier to four outdoor speakers on a large patio. This left two unused channels for future use. It worked perfectly in my case and allowed me the flexibility of being able to turn on and off speakers in areas the were not being used.

Connecting speakers to the back was straight forward and presented little challenge. However, everything in the back is small, very small. Banana plug connectors in the back would have been much more useful.

I gave it a four rating because, even though it sits well on my stereo rack, there are no lights on the unit to indicate when things are on or off. Also, the connectors for wires in the back are pretty delicate, banana plugs or spring loaded connectors would have been much better.

All in all, it serves its purpose well and looks pretty good alongside my other stereo components.

Not sure why so many 1 star reviews. I have had several speaker selectors during the past 10+ years and this one for the price paid is a bargain. It is well constructed has optional circuit protection and screw down speaker wire terminals. I purchased this item about a year ago use it daily and have never had a problem.

I used this product with 5 sets of speakers in a restaurant setting. I also used transformer coupled impedance matching volume controls, and am not using the resistive impedance matching circuit of this selector. It has worked perfectly for over 2 years now. Thanks.

A house we bought had speakers throughout the house, and with this speaker selector we are able to control which room gets sound. The connections in the back are the better quality, and it has labels to use, no problems with this purchase.

When I received the ISS8 speaker selector and removed it from the shipping box I noticed springs from the wire connectors were loose in the box and a plastic part inside the unit was loose and rattled when I moved the unit. The back part of the speaker selector box was damaged and it appeared to be done by something other than from shipping. "DON'T buy this unit. It's cheap and you really get what you pay for! Pay a little more for a name brand unit and you'll definately be happy. My money was refunded but I was stuck with the return Fed-X fee.

During the course of connecting my speaker wire to this box two springs came up missing. This design is flimsy. Minimal pressure causes the black and read plastic connection switches to mis align. I plan to return this item.
