It has a minty feel on your scalp. I wish that I had realized that the gold topped products were for colored hair and gotten that as I think System 2 might strip the color out. I haven't used it long enough to see a benefit yet but other people said that this is amazing stuff.

It really does work! My hair has been thinning for several years. I
have baby fine curly hair and I use the #2.
I now have new growth and my hair feels thicker and looks healthier.

I have had a thyroid problem since my last baby was born 5 years ago. While the medications were helping in other areas, they didn't help with this issue. I tried everything from vitamins to many different hair growth products. I have been using this product for two months now and am already starting to see a difference in the look of my bangs. I've been using the Nioxin System 2 for just over a month now and I can't say I've noticed regrowth. However, this shampoo/conditioner combo definitely makes your scalp feel cleaner than any other product on the market can. I went away for a weekend and switched to Pantene Pro-V for just one day and you could feel the difference. Nioxin makes your scalp feel minty fresh.

The Scalp Treatment is more of a mousse than anything else. It's great because you can use a product that provides mousse-like benefits without damaging your hair. It definitely makes your hair look thicker when you blow dry after you apply the product but it's a temporary thickness that disappears once your hair is washed.

All in all, I love how clean my scalp feels so I will probably continue using the system.

I went thru menopause instantly after a total hysterectomy 15 years ago and subsequently my hair did thin some; However, now I am having severe thyroid and adrenal problems and my hair was falling out pretty bad and my scalp has also become very sensitive. This shampoo and conditioner is very soothing to my scalp and definitely makes my hair appear thicker....I will difinitely keep using and hope as my endocrine problems get under control that I will be seeing new growth in my hair......this was a great deal for Nioxin which can be very expensive.
