ReadyNAS NVX Means Business
The NVX is built for small businesses or remote offices. Now you can consolidate backups replace older file servers, eliminate licensing costs and centralize storage all at the same time. The ReadyNAS unified storage architecture handles file sharing as well as application data, making it a perfect solution for virtualization, databases and unanticipated future needs. And of course, Active Directory users and groups can be included with just a few clicks. Mixed Mac, Windows and/or Linux environments will appreciate the full support for all major file system protocols, streamlining operations and cutting management costs.

Outstanding Performance, Powerful Protection
The ReadyNAS NVX features a 1 GHz Intel CPU and 1 GB of RAM, allowing it to reach speeds up to 85 MBps, faster than what most desktop computers can do. Even with many simultaneous users you’ll have super-fast access to the data that you need. Dual gigabit Ethernet interfaces can be bonded for best performance or teamed up for maximum reliability.

This ReadyNAS NVX features 2 TB of disk space, with a 1 TB disk in two of the four drive bays. If you need more storage, the NVX is also available in a 4 TB version. If less storage is required, there is a 1 TB version.

Centralizing your data requires a reliable system. The NVX protects against data loss through NETGEAR’s XRAID technology, which can protect from drive failures while expanding on the fly so you never need to wait.

ReadyNAS Vault software can connect the NVX to an enterprise-class Web-based storage infrastructure. You determine what you want protected and ReadyNAS Vault automatically and securely copies it offsite for you. ReadyNAS Vault software is tightly integrated into ReadyNAS systems, so you can confirm results, make changes, and recover files, even for multiple systems, from any Internet location. Pay for as much as you need monthly or annually and put disaster recovery worries to rest.

Managing individual remote users or travelers? ReadyNAS Remote lets them drag-and-drop over a secure connection between any computer and your ReadyNAS. No more firewall, VPN or awkward Web-based remote access solutions. ReadyNAS Remote has no license limitations and is included standard on all systems.

Easy to Manage and Set Up
The NVX can be configured and maintained from any Web browser. Advanced server knowledge isn't necessary to manage the ReadyNAS, and the smartly-designed, easy-to-use interface allows for quick setup. You can set the ReadyNAS to send you email alerts anytime something goes wrong, such as disk failure, fan failure, or overheating.

Graceful Backups
A comprehensive built-in backup manager eliminates tape worries and easily schedules your jobs. Automatically back up from your NVX to a variety of options, including locally-attached USB devices, a distant ReadyNAS, or even multiple offsite locations at once. Use the included Memeo client backup software to capture data from Windows and Mac systems, or, for Mac users, the NVX can also serve as a target for Time Machine backups.

The NVX comes in a small desktop form factor, it is an incredibly compact 5.2 x 7.9 x 8.7 inches (WxHxD) and weighs just 10 pounds without disks. I have owned the NV+ and this NVX is much better, read much faster. It validated all the new disks I bought and said two of them were bad even though they worked in a PC. It is very quiet and does not take much power. Software is very versatile - lot of options and the web interface is very straight forward. 5 year warranty is also appreciated.
