This degree of realism and craftsmanship that went into this Time traveling De Lorean from Back To The Future is absolutely stunning! The sound clips from the movie are well articulated and clearly understandable. When you push the button for the sounds when you hear the "Time Circuit On" sound the CORRESPONDING SECTION oF THE CAR LIGHTS UP! When you hear the "Time Re Entry" sound, the DASHBOARD SECTION Lights up as well as the rear taillights AND headlights,Back to the Future: Time Machine Mark I Car simply incredible! This replica of the sci fi classic Back To The Future Time Traveling De Lorean is a valuable part of my sci fi collection. Plus the fact that it is in 1/15th scale literally dwarfs any other of the many car models in my collection. So overall, I would rate this Diamond Select a five in all categories.

I love this thing. I am a big fan of Back to the future and never had a toy of the car. The flux capacitor lights up. (that's what makes time travel possible.) It makes all of the awesome sound effects like when the car won't start at the end when marty is going back to the future. the only thing it doesn't do is time travel and leave flaming tire tracks. awesome

The only issues it eh plastic has lots of flash on it, the rear electrical cord strap that is supposed to be under the bumper just broke off upon removing it from the packaging. The lights and sound are cool. It also has lights on the inside - the FLUX CAPACITOR blinks too. Thank heaven for EL wire and you can push the :Mr Fuson: down to get various combinations of sound and lights.

My 9 year old son got this for his birthday today. He's a huge BTTF fan and is having a lot of fun traveling in me. The car has numerous sounds. (Under the hood is a switch that turns the car from demo mode to full mode so you can hear all the sounds.) The lights are fantastic and the size is perfect. While the car is plastic, it is not flimsy. The car feels solid. We expected to receive the car from the first movie but instead received the second model with folding wheels. We're a little concerned the wheels may break at some point, which is why we wanted the original movie car.

I've been a big BTTF fan since it was first in theaters. Diamond Select always makes top notch products. My only issue is that it came in a BTTF II box. I didn't know that random packaging meant any old box it fit into. So, if you want it and the box isn't that big a deal then I'd say to get it.

As a collector of Sci Fi memorabilia and car memorabilia, Back to the Future's '81 Delorean Time Machine was a no-brainer. This is by far one of the best replica cars in my collection, and the centerpiece for my sci fi stuff. The sound effects are crisp and clear and the lights are bright and vibrant. Detailing is spectacular and the rubber-esque wheels are a nice touch. My only complaint is the silver body paint is weak, as in it's rubbed off in the packaging weak. Besides this one minor flaw, this is hands down my choice of Diamond Select's BTTF set of Deloreans. You will not be disappointed.
