For ordering a personalized or standard book. After purchasing the book on Amazon.com, an authorization link will be emailed to you so you can personalize your book. (Please note: The email link may take up to 3 hours to arrive in your inbox.) The link takes you to the publisher's website, which will guide you through the simple steps to personalize your book. If you'd like a standard, non-personalized edition of the book, click on the link in the email you receive after you order your book, "Please send me a standard version of THE OBAMA TIME CAPSULE." To receive your personalized book
After you check and approve each personalized page on the publisher's website, you'll click the blue "Publish My Book" button, which sends the book to the printer. No changes may be made after this point.

You must complete personalizing your book within 10 days of purchase
If you have not completed personalizing your book within 7 days, we'll send you two reminder emails. You will receive the first one when you have 3 days left, and a final notice when you have 24 hours left to complete the personalization process. If after 10 days you have not completed personalizing your book, you will be sent the standard version of the book.

Ordering multiple copies of your personalized book
You can order multiple copies of your personalized book if you are mailing them to one address. Just indicate the number of copies you want when you purchase them on Amazon.com.

Sending personalized books to different addresses
If you wish to send copies of your personalized book to different addresses, or if you are personalizing books for different people, you will need to purchase and create those books separately.

No returns/cancellations
The system is completely automated and does not allow for any changes or cancellations after you approve your book and click the blue "Publish My Book" button on the publisher's website. Please carefully check that all your information is correct, and that there are no typos on any of the pages (including names and the Dedication message), before you click "Publish My Book." Standard, non-personalized copies of the book may not be returned.

Shipping
Once you click the blue "Publish My Book" button on the publisher's website, you will be sent a confirmation email with your order details and a link that will enable you to check your order status. The order status will be updated upon shipping. Orders will be shipped via FedEx Ground services, which will not ship to P.O. Box addresses.

He and his partner, Jennifer Erwitt, are the principals of Against All Odds Productions, which specializes in the design and execution of large-scale global projects that combine compelling storytelling with state-of-the-art technology. It's important to note if you wish to order customized/personalized copies for different people, you must order each copy separately. If you order more than one copy thinking you will be able to customize each one, it will not work - you will receive multiple copies of the same book. (that's the only reason I rated this as a four star as it could be more clear about the order process for ordering more than one custom copy) So, if you want to personalize books for separate individuals, simply place a separate order for each book you wish to customize. The process is fun and simple. I only wish there were more pages to customize. The technology is Crazy Cool! It Rocks! I can't wait to receive each order I customized for my daughter and son featuring my favorite photos of them and their artwork. I'll report back once I receive my books : )

Update: My teenagers received their personalized books and LOVE them! While at work, I even received a text from my teenage son thanking me for it. I'm sure many may understand a positive reaction from a teenager willing to text/mom with a 'cool' and a thank you is something.

Seeing some of the critical remarks - this book is more than a 'scrapbook' of photos. To me it is a testament to our democracy and the graceful transition of parties. This is also called out in the book as well as many other facts and photos. Even the affirmation included from Colin Powell about the love each of the candidates have for our country is moving. It is a keepsake and one I'm going to order for myself!

I love the print-on-demand technology - it is revolutionizing the publishing industry. The hp technology is removing barriers to entry for authors/illustrators to share their stories and art. I independently published my first children's book Patulous, The Different Caterpillar through Book Surge an Amazon company using their POD technology too which uses hp Indigo Digital Press. Wonderful. This is the same technology which makes books like the Obama Time Capsule possible.

Book is beautifully done. It's a great memento of a piece of history. I bought it as a surprise for my daughter. It would have been nice to have the option to add a few more personal pictures. That part was limited, but it's still a wonderful keepsake at a reasonable price. It was very easy to personalize.
