Wonderful fun!

Loved this toy! I bought it as a project for my grandson. We had so much fun putting it together (a lot of work but worth the effort). The ONLY beef I have is that even a little playing with it and the animals come apart. And we were short a piece so we couldn't make all the animals in the box. But just a great product.

My 4 yr old loves these

My 4 yr old loves these. He loves to put them together (with some help) and then he loves to play with them once assembled. You can switch body parts between the animals and make your own creations. There are a LOT of pieces, so its helping him learn patience. Fortunately that vary in complexity (the snake is the easiest) so you can start with the simple one and work your way up.

Kids like it but will come apart

Kids really enjoy. My 5 and 3 year old put it together with a good bit of help from us. Like playing with them but pieces do come off and need to be reattached. It's usually just pushing a piece or two back together but it can be a bit annoying. I wouldn't make it a deal breaker. Toys look great when built. I'd say about a half hour to build on average when you get hang of it. Would buy again.

very cute and alot of fun

Got this for girls ages 4 and 3. supervised toy not good for alone time play because of amount of pieces. small parts easy to swallow. i'm sure people would say choking hazard, i'm more concerned with if they will go all the way through a body or not. very very easy to swallow. (i make this note because i have a walking 10month old so clean up has to be complete.

pros:
fun to put together. we work on one a week. i help the first time they do it themselves the second time.
they come apart easily, so they can be put together over and over.
they are a fun building toy
the instruction for each animal is in pictures

cons
they come in a box with all the pieces wedged into their propper whole. this is a great way to check that they are all there, however it takes forever to figure out what piece goes to which animal.
the pieces are tiny
there are 500 pieces to keep track of
the box is a thin cardboard and pieces can slip out
some pieces are straight up microscopic. i mean, you put in tiny nostrals and every poc-a-dot that is on the giraffe and cheeta.

what i did that helps with the mass amounts of pieces:
We leave the tiny spots in their holes when we dismantle the pieces. cheetah keeps his spots.
I bagged each animals pieces in its own ziplock bag and labeled bag with animal name. this means that the girls can tell me which animal they want to build and i can hand them a bag with all the correct pieces.. no hunting them down, no 30 minute prep each time we play with these.
we sit down at the table and do them together. one new animal one animal thats already been done.Read more ›

way too complicated to be a kids puzzle

I still have it in th ebox from over a year ago. I opened it to use with my son and found it to be full of tiny foam pieces that are way to complicated for me let alone my son.

The puzzle did not stay together when put together. It is way too hard for a 4 year old. Do not buy for a child under 7?
