I was in the market for a 1x4 splitter for a 108i source to a Sony LCD, Onkyo SR-607--> Samsung DLP/Optoma HD20 and to an Integra DHC 9.9--> Samsung UNB7000/Sim2 D60. I started with a Monoprice's best 1.3b ATC 1x4 splitter and had compatibility issues with the Integra-->Samsung/ Sim2 setup. Then I tried the HD Trinity splitter from CECmpass which worked intermittently and most of the time required the Onkyo->Samsung DLP to be turned on at the same time for it to lock/sync the signal. Finally, I tried this splitter and it works like a charm with my pickiest Integra DHC 9.9 setup right out of the box. I have been experimenting with HDMI setups for over a year now and I have paid heftily(over $200/-) for 1x2 splitters last year. 2009 is the year to take the leap to HDMI splitters as the price is right and I cannot recommend this splitter enough to everybody out there. This is the splitter to get for the best compatibilty with the pickiest of recievers or TVs. After a month of frustrations with various incompatibilities, I have finally found my holy grail of HDMI splitters. Hope my experience helps others who have similar setups as mine.

This product is excellent. It is incredibly simple to use and works perfectly. I connected a second HD TV in my game room with a 50ft HDMI cable, also bought through Amazon at a price 75% less than at Best Buy. Amazingly, there is no drop off in picture quality. I would highly recommend this product.

At first I tried to use a dual splitter with one output HDMI cable at 10 ft to a monitor and another at 100 ft to a monitor. The 100 ft HDMI cable is too long to get a signal.

I then used this splitter to send 4 signals to separate monitors. One HDMI output cable at 10 ft in length, the second at 15 ft, the third at 30 ft Cmple HDMI Cable, 30 feet and the fourth at 30 ft Cmple HDMI Cable, 30 feet with an HDMI extender (amplifier - make sure you have the source side and output side correctly oriented and that the extender is plugged into an electrical socket) Tripp Lite B122-000 HDMI Extender, HDMI F/F and then a 40 ft HDMI cable 40ft Hdmi Male to Male Cable Gold Plated 1080p V1.3b (so for the final output the two cables and the extender now make a single 70 ft long cable in total length) to the 4th monitor. That system with four total monitors going at once, worked great. Without the HDMI extender (amplifier) it wouldn't have worked and a 40 ft cable would have been too long coming out of the splitter. At least I couldn't get a proper signal from the 40 ft cable. Hope this helps

Driving three TVs with cables of 6', 50' and 65' works perfectly.
I've paid $[...] for two way splitters that couldn't drive 50'.

The "instruction manual" is a joke.
Each language gets two 3" x 3" paragraphs of text.
Shouldn't need it though. There is nothing to set.

Keep in mind this uses a "Wall wart" power supply.
They never show these in the pictures.
It's a small "wart" as they go.
When plugged in, it extends off to the right or left.
Prongs aren't polarized, so right or left is always possible.
This arrangement means it won't block the outlet above or below. A+

indicator LEDs flashes and one does not.
Does anyone know why ?
Doesn't have a problem, just curious.

I use with my HTPC setup to boost and split the signal from a Scientific Atlanta 8240HDC. I have two 50' HDMI cables running to two screens, both fed from this splitter. It splits the signal and powers the 50' run without an issue, but when switching between 1080i (the highest resolution supported by TWC) and 720/480, there is a horrible lag where the screen either snows up, or goes blue. The delay can last as long as 45 second, but seems to vary in duration--but never goes away.

The vast majority of time I watch HD stations, but TWC's on-demand screen/menu is broadcast in 720p; so every time I end an on-demand show (or leave paused a bit too long), I have the delay. While it sounds like a petty gripe, over the past 10 months it has become more and more intolerable. I contacted the company, and was told that all their products have a 'momentary' delay when switching between 480/720 and 1080i/1080p. When I explained the length of delay I was experiencing, the rep told me this was within the normal range.

For a splitter, it works great; eliminating signal degradation is excellent; but, be prepared for a 10-45 second delay when switching between HD and SD channels (hence the 1 out of 5).

Unit performed as advertised. No complaints about the performance. My Sony and Samsung TVs had no problems sync'ing with the unit. And when I mixed in a non-1080p monitor, the whole system renegotiated without issue to accomodate the lower capability TV so the DA didn't interfere with that at all. Unit is nice and small, with all metal construction for the case. Looks very professional. Unfortunately with the size and the awkwardness of HDMI cables, it was kind of hard to keep the unit sitting nicely in place. You may want to secure the unit with velcro or something to prevent having it flop around when you bump your cables.

All in all - exactly what you need if looking for a simple 1 to many HDMI splitter.
