I purchased these red pom poms for a Pinterest project I was working on for my daughter's pre-school class. I made hot chocolate reindeer. These pom poms were perfect for the job. Note that they do not have adhesive on them, so you have to buy glue dots or something of the like to make them stick!

Just the right size for snow balls on a greeting card. I use a glue gun to secure them to the card stock. I also use these fluffy balls on my wood crafts for snowballs, hat poms, bunny tails and snow man buttons. They are soft and fluffy and do not come apart if you pull on them.

I dont quite think these are 1/2 an inch but they will do the job as noses on my sock puppets. I would say 1/3 of an inch . Careful not to pull the string if any has hanging because they will lose the circle and become a ball of fuzz.

I ordered these with 2 weeks time for them to arrive before my craft day and they did not arrive until 4 days after my craft day was over! I had to make alternate plans for my craft day -- that did not make me very happy at all. There is no way it should have taken more than 2 weeks for them to be shipped to me.
