A very serious powerlifting belt. VERY stiff which is what is needed, but the two pronged buckle makes it difficult to properly put on or take off until it is extremely well broken in. This is actually the proper sort of belt to use for heavy deadlifts and squats. Be very, very careful about measuring for fit. Make sure you know exactly where to measure, as it should ride higher than a normal pants belt. That being said, there is plenty of length and if you are relatively trim, the fit should be easy: 36-38" mid section will be LARGE, although the temptation will be to chose Xtra large.

I bought this as a temporary belt since I was waiting for my leather belt to come in. It is good for what it is ( I like my leather belt a lot better). It was a bit tough in the beginning and took a while to break it in. My deadlifts have become stable ever since using a belt. This is a good cheap alternative to the more expensive belts but nothing can beat the feel and quality of the leather weightlifting belts.

Other reviewers have correctly identified the problems with this belt. While the belt had sufficient adjustment, the loop to tuck in the tail of the belt is too close to the buckle to be useful. Also, compared to the adjustment resolution of Velcro belts, the double tang buckle is just inferior. The build quality of this belt, and the poor quality of the rivets don't justify the $50 price.

This belt is pretty amazing. Not only is it incredibly durable, the stiff cowhide keeps your back in alignment. The only negatives is that its ALOT bigger than the pictures indicate and is very heavy. As its reinforced leather, pulling the belt tight and securing it with the clasp takes a decent amount if strength and dexterity. Of course if you are lifting enough to need this belt, you shouldn't have any problems getting it on or off.

I really love the durability of this belt! It is very thick and rigid. It does require breaking in as seller suggested but I myself would also recommend applying an adequate amount of leather conditioner to increase pliability. The buckle is a little bit difficult to unlatch for removal so it could be a little annoying after a really heavy lift but I'm sure after breaking-in period this will pass. Overall I think it is a very high quality product for under $60.
