This is easily the best product on the market for supporting bicycle seats for children. I had purchased another seat from my local bike company and could not get it to fit on mine or my wife's bike. The same thing happened when I tried to cheaper models from Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire. The price point is higher but you definitely pay for the quality and the ease of use.
I did not install the rack for my bike but did install this one for my wife's bike and it took about 10-15 minutes with no struggling whatsoever. Definitely a top rate product!

The rack came as described and worked great as an extra seat for my Topeak kids seat. Now I can put the seat on a couple different bikes. Unfortunately a couple of the rubberized caps were missing upon arrival. I contacted the shipper, but they never sent any to replace them. Not too big of a deal though as they don't affect function.

Purchased this rack after purchasing the Topeak Babyseat II (which comes with a rack) so that my son could also use the babyseat on his Trek mountain bike. Now grandpa can use it when my granddaughters visit and my son can use the seat at his house when grandpa is out of town. The rack works great and can be used with paniers or other rack mountable bags making it very useful for a variety of duties. Very sturdy yet lightweight. We removed a Blackburn rack from my sons bike and had this new rack mounted in about 10 minutes.

Be sure your bike has the threaded mount points REQUIRED for this mounting rack. This rack, which is REQUIRED for the Topeak baby seat II, will not work unless it can mount far enough to the rear and still be level. While you can use pipe clamps to act as mount points, be sure you have enough space on the rear fork support without compromising brake or derailleur components. BEACH CRUISERS BEWARE, the raked alignment of your seat support can render the mount and the seat impossible to use.

Well made! Easy to install. BUT depending on seat height it could interfere with the grab rail on the baby seat. I am 6'6" tall so use that as a judge. I had to put the rack as far back as the supplied brackets would allow and I would have preferred a few more inches to spare. The hole for the babyseat locking mechanism should be about and inch further back also to allow for the compensation. Have used it twice for my 3 year old that weighs 36 lbs and is tall for her age with no issues. Just required the adjustments of pushing the rack backward as far as I could to give her room. The seat and rack are not even noticeable on the back of my Trek mountain bike.
