I just wanted to share my experience with this pony and with Tek Nek. We've had this pony for almost a year, we purchased as a Christmas present last year for our then 15 month old son. Our son loves this pony, and is one of only a few toys that he has never lost interest in. Like another reviewer, I too had concerns with the durability of the pony's ears, since that's how my son activated the talking and singing, by yanking HARD on both the pony's ears. I can report, that almost a year later, though the ears are a little mishappen and no longer stand up, there is not one rip or popped seam! That being said, we did end up having an issue with part of the frame on the base of the pony. Approximately 4-5 months after we converted the frame to the "big boy" setting, I noticed that the knobs on the inner frame pieces where the rubber bands attach started to pull inward from the force of the bands. The knobs eventually split at the base and tore halfway off. I went to the Tek Nek website to try to find where I could purchase replacement parts for the two inner frame pieces, but had no luck. I then sent an email to Tek Nek from their website explaining the problem and how much it would cost to buy the replacement parts I needed. Well, I can tell you how surprised and thrilled I was that not only did I receive a response to my email within a few hours, but was told that if I gave them my shipping address, they would send me the parts I needed for no additional charge. After giving my address, I received the replacement parts in just a few days. Thanks Tek Nek for a great product and outstanding customer service!

First off, if you can get a second set of hands to help you assemble this then save your sanity and get their help. It is super easy and quick to set up (few peices) but attaching the pony to the base requires more than two hands because you are working against the rubber bands that the pony uses to bounce. I managed to do it alone but it was after many bangs, bruises, and swear words. I read reviews on a similar bouncing/rocking horse (Radio Flyer) and this product seems to be not only easier to assemble, but of better quality.

The moving pony mouth is barely noticable but the sounds and songs are very clear. The voice that does the phrases and song is weird. I won't say more - you listen and come up with your own judgment. It makes my baby smile though. My son is only eight months so he isn't technically old enough for it yet. He is somewhat big for his age and loves to bounce and jump so he's already moving on the pony. I just stay nearby in case he needs help balancing. Given the personality and play preferences of my son, I think this toy will be around for a long time - at least until he is old enough to graduate to a big boy bouncy horse.

I bought this Pony for my Godson/GrandNephew and he loves it. He's 1 year old
and was able to adjust to it right away. It's fun, durable and soft to his touch. He also loves the animated noises it makes. Great product, highly recommended.

My 17mn old daughter really loves this rocking horse. The only thing i don't like is she is right in between the rocking part and the standing part. She can't quite get on it by herself when its set up to the stand up position. Really good product other then that (which is not even a really big deal)

This item was purchased for our 9-month old...and she absolutely loves the rockin' rider, especially when she hears the song she is going nuts!! The seat support for younger ones (infants) is fantastic, as this gives the little ones a stable seat position and they can't fall off. The pony itself is well manufactured, only the battery pack sits right in the back of its neck and sticks out a bit under the ferr / clothing, so if the kid is leaning all the way forward the battery pack could push against the chest or abdomen. Another small drawback is that the base (if using for very young children) is entirely made of plastic, which does not allow a very good rocking on tile floors, also carpet is not optimal, but we have one of those play mats with the letters and numbers, on this one it can't slide at all and all the energy goes into the rocking. I put the thing together all by myself, which was kinda hard because due to the rubber springs the whole bottom construction is under tension while assembling, which makes it hard to hold it together and assemble it the same time... with two people however its a piece of cake! Overall we are pretty satisfied with our buy (we've had this for about 6 months now). The cool thing is that it can grow with the children, as shown in the product video, so this is definitely a purchase not only for a short period but for a couple of years! Hope this review was helpful to U... good luck!

This was a Christmas present for my son when he was a little over 1.5 years old (December 2012.) We skipped over the features for a smaller child and set it up so it didn't rock, it stood firmly with the springs so he could bounce like crazy. He weighed maybe 27 lbs at the time, and I believe the pony is rated to 50 lbs, which makes no sense to me because he was able to get that thing going to where it was jumping off the floor and once he flipped it. Thankfully he wasn't hurt, but we ended up wrapping a 20 lb ankle weight around each end to keep it upright. Even with the extra 40 lbs, he is still able to get it to lift a little, but they helped a lot. He's about 37 lbs now (he will be 3 in February) and is still able to ride it.

About a month after we got it, the right ear, which plays the song, stopped working. He always hit it because he wanted the song to play while he was riding. I contacted the company through their website, and they sent out an entire new pony body, no questions asked. But when we got it, we found that it was a different color and had a different voice. My son wouldn't go near it. It was kind of funny, actually. Anyway, I opened the ear on the original and fiddled with it, and I was able to get it to work again. Stitched it up and it still works (December 2013.) It does randomly just play the song in the middle of the night, which is startling when you are sitting at your computer in the dark at 2 AM, but otherwise it has been fine ever since.

My son has gotten a lot of use out of it, although we recently got him a toddler trampoline and that seems to take care of his bouncing needs. If he doesn't play with it much over the next few months, it will likely go to my SIL's kids.
