I have long been a fan of ricochet mints (though they changed their name to xyla recently, apparently). With the name change came a change in texture. They used to be pretty soft and easily fell apart. Now they're a little firmer, almost the texture of smarties though after they've been in your mouth a while if you suck on them and push hard on them with your tongue they still break apart (keep in mind it's basically pressed xylitol). They're very yummy and it's great to be able to eat three or four of them and turn my nose up at the chocolate ice cream. I'll take 1 calorie a piece over 300 calories a bowl any day :-)

I would give this product 5 stars for the fact that it's made in the US & not China, like so many Xylitol products. However I wasn't too fond of the chocolate flavor, and I'm a chocoholic. I preferred the berry flavor as far as being refreshing, but that is just a personal taste matter. Bottom line: this is a quality product at a reasonable price, compared to so many of the other "dry mouth" specialty products.

I bought these to help my afternoon sweet cravings that had gotten out of control. I love chocolate, so I was hopeful. They have a nice, mild chocolate mint flavor, but they are very crumbly. I'd prefer a firmer candy.

These mints balance the perfect blend of chocolate and mint. Because they are so delicious, it helps remind me to consume a few mints throughout the day. I have read about the extensive benefits of xylitol and I am so happy that this product makes it easy for me to incorporate it into my meals. I agree with other reviews which have mentioned that the mint is crumbly and dissolves quickly. But for me, this does not compromise the overall quality of the mint. It still tastes yummy and takes care of the most important job which is neutralizing the acids in your mouth.

I also ordered the wintermint and peppermint flavors. Cocoa mint is my favorite because it tastes like candy. The wintermint is also delicious and refreshing. Peppermint has a very, very strong flavor. It is good, but it is not something that I would want to consume throughout the day. Xyla brand mints are made in the USA and are made from birch trees, not corn. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a convenient way to "strive for five" servings of xylitol a day.

I have had these chocolate xyla mints sold locally & liked them so I bought in bulk on amazon. There is something off. Same seller (company=pwi) of the peppermint (love) so I am not sure if these chocolate ones were old, not stored well, or what the problem is. Non-returnable so make sure you love them from this seller before buying in bulk.

These mints taste great to a chocoholic like me. I have tried using sugar free gum and candy, but those typically come in fruit flavors that aren't as appealing. The texture of the mints is a little bit crumbly. Its like a whole bunch of sugar grains with chocolate/peppermint coating sticking them together.

Chocolate, especially mint chocolate is one of my downfalls in attempting to lose weight, eat healthy, and keep from losing any more of my teeth. If I keep the mint boxes handy I'm a lot less likely to go for chocolate.

These teeny mints have a hint of chocolate and a hint of mint. Not overpowering of either but when you put them in your mouth they immediately explode and dissolve with just a hint of the two flavors combined.

I have only tried one other - the Licorice which I love and unlike the licorice the flavor on these is not overwhelming (which is a good thing about the licorice) but the flavor is nice and you get a kind of cooling effect (maybe it's the Xylitol);all in all they're a nice little something to put
in your mouth when your sweet-tooth is a-hollering!

I do have a problem with all the Ricochet products prices. They are extremely overpriced and if I could find them elsewhere I certainly would BUT for now I'm willing to go further in debt (further and further and further) for this is a treat that I'm truly becoming addicted to.

By the way, check out Xylitol online; as in my other review this substance is used in all kinds of products (edible products) for it has many benefits beside being GOOD FOR YOUR TEETH..can you believe it.......if they weren't so damned expensive I'd buy every single kind.....my dentist will be oh so happy!!!!!

I am doing the Dr. Ellie Phillips' 4-step system and I added four flavors of this to my Subscribe & Save program. Seems this month I won't be getting it because the price has jumped from about thirteen fifty to nearly eighteen bucks... though it's less if subscribed it's still a hefty increase. Not to digress into a Subscribe & Save rant but this program is not what it once was and when prices jump significantly I won't make the purchase. I add the items to my cart and if I see a price drop to what I'm willing to pay I just cancel the old subscription and do it again... at least the new price is guaranteed for the first delivery. Anyway, since I needed this I checked other items and this is still much cheaper than Spry but the deal seems to be on the bags or cans of granular or powder. I have some Emerald Forest Xylitol Sweetener & Now Foods Xylitol and will switch to those until the price drops for this item. I've had gum issues and bleeding for over 50 years and refuse to go back to a dentist to have my teeth scaled twice a year because I found the problems were exacerbated by the process. This stuff, in conjunction with the other three items, works and my gums are improving after only several months of use. The only problem I have with it is that it's not available locally and Amazon thinks it's worth a lot more than when I purchased it a few months ago. Since I like it so much I'll be stocking up on the bulk containers. So, it's 5 stars for me and 3 stars to Amazon for jacking the price nearly 5 bucks.
