This package arrived one day late but my concern is the odd taste or flavor of these coffee candies. I don't know if it because they are Pearson's, while the other Nestle Coffee Nips are not but they are overly sweet and absent any coffee flavor. I believe this is the first time I have ordered the one's that are designated Pearson's because I have made multiple orders and was satisfied. I am not sure what the return policy is on food( I ordered a box of 12) but I wanted to alert other customers that there is a qualitative difference in the Pearson's Nestle Coffee Nips versus the regular Nestle Coffee Nips. They also had a smokey taste to them....perhaps they were packaged next to tabacco products. I have tried two pieces and that is enough to put these, if they can't be returned, in the circular bin.

These are basically a carmel toffee with very little coffee flavor. The pieces are uncomfortably large. There's better to be had if you are interested in a coffee flavored candy.

I've been a long term addict of these nips; only wish they still had a wider variety of flavors (anyone remember coffee mint? Chocolate? it's been decades since then - although during the last two years there have been holiday flavors, e.g. eggnog.)It used to be they came in 5.5 oz boxes, but as with so many things that quietly decrease in size without thinking we'd notice, the nips now sell in 4 oz. Boxes for about the same price. Occasionally you can find them on sale somewhere for 99 cents, but more often they're 1.49 or somewhere around there. So these multipacks are a good deal, comparatively speaking, especially since I can't find them much where I live now. One of the best things about them is the consistency - neither too soft like sticky caramels, nor too hard like Werthers and other hard candy. Watch your teeth though - they can take out your fillings if you start chewing!
