This sauce is the BEST! It is not as tangy as A-1 which makes it phenomenal with more than just steak! I use it with a combination of ingrediants to create my own sauces. L&P is rich, tangy and a slight touch spicy. Combine it with honey, soy sauce, br. sugar and a touch of red wine for an AWESOME glaze for chicken.

This is a wonderful sauce who's value I would put at about the same value per-ounce as A1 Sauce. I would even pay a slight premium more if you love it as much as I do but not a huge premium.

For burgers this is hands down my absolute favorite topping. A properly seasoned beef-patty w/ lettuce, Swiss cheese and Lea&Perrins Traditional Steak Sauce make a perfect burger. This sauce is has great tangy, well-seasoned, slightly spicy-sweet flavor that is very unique. I recommend every one try it. Right now, a few local restaurants around me have it on their tables. If you see it in your area, you really should try it on anything beef. Also, you can substitute this for any A1 Sauce flavor to try it out.

In my opinion, Lea&Perrins has a done a very poor job of marketing this wonderful product in the U.S., and are really short changing themselves and their Customers. Way too often, I ask for this sauce in a Restaurant or Grocer and they'll say they have it. But, they are always thinking of the L&P Worcestershire Sauce and are always confused there could be anything else. L&P really could have named the product better too to make it very distinct from their truly "traditional sauce" which is, of course, "Lea&Perrins Original Worcestershire Sauce". Their Worcestershire is great in it's own right, but these two sauces have very different flavor profiles. This is the second time this product has become commonly available in the U.S. and I am really hoping they do a better job of getting the word out this time.

I love this sauce and I'm sure you'll at least like it a lot. Try it and let me know what you think. Thanks.

Lea & Perrins Traditional Steak Sauce, 15 Fluid Ounce Bottle.
The Lea & Perrins Traditional Steak Sauce carries on the tradition and taste of the famous Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, but with added thickness, a little added sweetness, and some extra ingredients. The thickness of the sauce can fill your taste buds with the taste of the sauce instead of the taste of the steak, so it is best used in moderation. A little bit goes a long ways, so unless the steak has seen better days after sitting in the freezer for a long period of time, just spread it on the steak in a thin layer, so that you can still enjoy the taste of the fresh grilled steak. Purist human carnivores even prefer making do with a little salt and black pepper on their steak. A little warning for those on a low sugar diet, a tablespoon (15mL) of this sauce contains 3g of sugar, as opposed to the 1g of sugar in one teaspoon (5mL) of the thinner Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. The steak sauce is so thick that it is measured in tablespoons instead of teaspoons, so spread it well or the sugar total will sneak up on you. The steak sauce has the added ingredients of: Tomato Puree, High Fructose Corn Syrup (instead of sugar), Raisin Paste, Orange Juice , Grapefruit Juice, Lemon Juice, and Dried Apple, as well as Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, and Sodium Benzoate as well, so there will be a small difference in taste compared to the Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. I cannot find an expiration date anywhere on the bottle. Perhaps it was on a sticker that has since fallen off.Read more ›

Hey I just bought this awesome steak sauce after experiencing its sudden disapperance from stores a year or so ago. Really missed this great stuff and had to go to A-1 Bold and Spicy as a close substitute. Bought a case of 12 on 08-20-13 and got it within a week for some really fast service.
