I love the taste of fresh sweet corn. That isn't always possible. This green Giant Super Sweet Yellow and White Corn is a great option! It's handy and just the right size for me. It tastes fresh and sweet. It really needs nothing. Just heat it up and serve.

Green Giant disappointed me with this (expect better from GG). All cans were pretty much the same. Many 'crushed' cornels and what seemed like pieces of the cob (hard tasteless bits). Libby's Whole Kernel Sweet Corn, 15 Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) is far better but when I went to re order, it was no longer available. Will not be reordering this.

The latest in the Green Giant food production (fresh and frozen veggies) is that they are using genetically modified butter and genetically modified corn (GMOs) in their products that are produced, packaged, and grown in Mexico.

I have been using their products all my life, and when I saw the new ingredients that were not used in their products years ago, I was mortified.

I decided to go online to find out what all the GMO ingredients were. This is what I've learned about genetically modified corn. I am eating embalming fluid which we know causes cancer!

When I found out who was behind the GMO push (Monsanto Chemical Company), I was even more frightened. I saw first hand what they did to the environment in NJ.

I can also see now why they've decided to produce their products in foreign lands. Mexico does not have our environment laws and environmental protections. They can use whatever they want in their exports, e.g., pesticides, GMOs, toxic feed, etc.

On the other hand, non-GMO corn was found to be free of chlorides, formaldehyde, glyphosate, and other harmful chemicals, while in GMO corn they were identified in dangerously high levels. According to an analysis of the report by MomsAcrossAmerica.com, GMO corn contains about 19 times more glyphosate than is permitted as a maximum in drinking water by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and 130 times more glyphosate than has been found in tests to cause organ damage in animals.

Similarly, GMO corn contains dangerously high levels of formaldehyde, according to the report. A previous study conducted by Dr. Don Huber on GMOs revealed that .97 ppm of formaldehyde is toxic if ingested by animals. As it turns out, GMO corn contains 200 times more formaldehyde than this maximum safety threshold.
