Directions
Adult Dogs 25 – 50 lbs: 1-2 per week. Adult Dogs 50 – 100 lbs: 2-3 per week. Adult Dogs >100 lbs: 3-4 per week. Each JUMBONE snack provides approximately 35% of the daily energy needs of a 77 lb. (35 kg) dog. Therefore, your dog’s main meal should be reduced accordingly. Fresh drinking water should be available.

I have studied canine nutrition for the last 5 years and one of the biggest negatives I see in many commercial dog food companies is putting profit over care.

In looking at ingredients in treats and food, many companies are fabulous. However, sadly, some put the cheapest ingredients that often even cause negative reactions in dogs into their products and then add flavors to make the dog want them so they continue to be bought.

Ah, but don't take my word for it.

First ingredient in these? Rice Flour. Not meat. Not whole wheat flour. Not brown rice flour. Rice flour...bad carb, no protein, breaks down into sugar. But it gets better. Second main ingredient? SUGAR.

Let me repeat that. This contains mostly sugar.

Yes they are shaped like bones and you feel like you are getting some good protein in and that they aren't like giving your pet hard candy. Naw. That's marketing. They only contain 7% protein and the protein source is derived from "dried meat by product". In other words, meat waste.

But lets go back to sugar. You could give your dog a tablespoon of sugar each day and they would crave that too. But you will also have to pay for extra tartar scrapings from your vet which are stressful to your canine companion or have a pet lose their teeth in their later years.

But I'm just getting started. 3rd ingredient? Wheat flour. Not whole wheat flour...processed and stripped of it's nutriotional value. Cheaper. And of no nutritional value. Cheap.

So you think the fourth ingredient must be some protein huh? Naw, it's Propylene Glycol.Read more ›

I bought these for my dogs and within a few bites they were both bleeding. They both have great dental hygiene (according to our vet) and don't have this problem with anything else (pig ears, other brands of meat-centered bones, etc.). Plus, they both had diarrhea afterwards.

I'll never buy them again.

This product is HORRIBLE! I have a toy dog and thought he would like this. He choked on the treat, and it made him really sick. He tried to throw up and the only thing that came out was white foam and saliva. This was going on for about 40 min. I immediately called my vet and searching for animal emergency hospital nearby as it was on the weekend. Eventually he calmed down but I can tell something was off. My vet returned my call, told me to keep an eye on him and if he gets weak, to immediately take him to the emergency room. The vet also told me to cut the treat up and put it in a cup of water to see whether it will dissolve, which after 2 days it didn't. It gotten softer but did not dissolve. The doctor told me to blend his food with water so he can eat it easily. Every time he eats or drink, he would throw-up :(

I dropped him off on Monday at the vet. The doctor said that if the treat is stuck in his throat, she'll have to cut him open and try to get it out through the stomach. I cried and cried. I felt sooo bad for the little guy. The vet later called and said he didn't need surgery and seems to be stable. All this drama because of this freaking stupid horrible treat!!!!! I would NEVER buy it again!!!!! And by the way, the vet bill was over $500...thanks to this $5 treat.

Unfortunately, there's several gross ingredients in these, but sometimes my dog will only eat one of these to "jump start" his appetite. There's "meat" and "by-products" and "animal" stuff, which usually indicates Rendering Plant products (google rendering plant and you'll see what that means). I would give these a much higher rating, if Pedigree would make these with healthier ingredients.

One of my 4 dogs will ONLY eat this treat! All 4 love them though. Two of my dogs are under 20 pounds, over 10 pounds, so I use a gardening branch trimmer tool to cut most treats into smaller pieces. These cut easily and make even the MINI size a bit better for smaller dogs. And... I ONLY but made in the USA treats! Please NEVER buy treats made outside the USA. They are not regulated and can have any toxins/harmful items stuck in them...

These are the texture of a fig newton, and my dog LOVES them. It's like candy for him. He has never turned one down, and when he sees me open that bright yellow pouch, he runs over and jumps up on the chair. If you knew finicky Bentley, you'd be quite impressed with that. I love that there's five packs of 10, which means you can carry a pouch in a purse if you want, or just take one out for your pocket. High quality ingredients as well.

Sometimes you want to give your best friend a nice treat that isn't too small, nor too big and this is it. My dog is actually a medium sized one, but these are big enough that she is kept busy for a minute or so, yet not so large that I worry about her having "too many treats". Bottom line -- she loves them.

Buy it when it's the deal of the day. If you buy these at regular price you're paying to much. However it's a great savings as a lighting deal and the bones are great for large dogs. I have a high drive German Shepard and this is a good distraction on long days.
