I read the only review posted and I was impressed enough to purchase several packs as well as the same style of Pendaflex (since that was what I always purchased and had been happy with -though it was drawing some negative comments in its reviews).

They were shipped together. Both brands were major disappointments (see my Pendaflex review). First of all, I still have many Pendaflex colored folders from years past. The difference in thickness is immediately visible to the eye and touch. I have no question that these won't last long so I will have to use them for items I won't be opening often. The Smead brand is a bit thicker than the current Pendaflex but the price is 25% higher so I guess it is a draw which is the best value.

I'm going to start making my own colored folders.

It is really a shame that to increase profit that companies are making such poorly made products that you just throwing more money away.

I purchased these for use in my classroom. I need multiple matching expandable folders for my classroom organization. I love these. I searched for the best quality for the cheapest price and these are it. They last the entire school year with out a tear and are used daily. Great find.

These file jackets are so useful because they expand to 2 inches. I use them for card making and crafting. When I finish a card or page I can label and store it without worry. Bulkier embellishments, nothing gets smashed or disfigured.
I also use them for our small business. Because of the size, I can put more receipts per jacket as compared to a file folder. For example, full year of utility bills/receipts can fit into one, this saves me space so when I am ready to box up for 2011, I will be able to pull it all together in one bankers box with room to spare and not have to keep track of two boxes. Since they are reinforced, I only use one throughout the year and it still looks good. No taping a folder together to keep everything contained.

I have used these jackets for years and they are great. With the closed ends and expandable capability I give them a 10 of 10. If you have ever had a file of papers slide out the end and had to pick them up or even resort them you will love these.

Very satisfied with these folders and the service. I gave it four stars as the company seems to be making them thinner and weaker over the years. I feel the thinner product does not hold up as well with use.

These are good folders but the two blue ones in my set are unusable. The were not glued on straight and won't open up. Since I need some now, I am not returning them. I am disappointed though and would try another brand next time I needed these.

I have ADD and am highly unorganized but these things keep me organized despite myself! The color coding helps...all things tax related go in blue folders only for instance, and I just write the year on the front. They last a very long time and handle quite a bit of abuse and over stuffing without falling apart or ripping.
