This product was a gift and the recipient loves it. However, be careful when reading the description as it sometimes speaks in plural. I thought I was buying 2 and it's only 1. So read carefully!

All these reviewers are upset that they bought only one (1) dumbbell. But it says clearly in the description, ONE dumbbell.

Despite the low number of stars (b/c of the only one dumbbell thing), this is a good product for working out.

I bought the 12 lb size - a difficult size to find! I appreciate that...

Over all I am very happy with my dumbbell - I later bought a second so I would have a pair.

My only complaint is that over time, the vinyl coating may become worn or cracked in some places. This has started to happen to mine on a couple of the points. Over all, I'm still very happy with the smooth coating.

To summarize, I would recommend this product.

These pink hand weights are so cute and are very tiny!! I got these to use while rebounding (which triples whatever weight you're using). The center part, where you grip, is about 2 3/4 inches wide, so if your palms are wide, these might be a little awkward to hold. They also have a slight purplish hue, so not a true pink, but certainly pink enough. They are easy to grip and hold onto, and I love how small they are. If you have a need for a 1 lb hand weight, these fit the bill!

This is a weird thing to say about a dumbbell, but it absolutely stinks. It has a disgusting chemical, bad-plastic smell to it that absolutely fills the room with its stench. I am hoping that with time the smell will wear off. In the meantime, I haven't used it since it arrived ten days ago because I don't want that smell (or whatever is causing the smell) on my hands/skin.

Otherwise, it is a perfectly nice two pound weight. Good size for the weight and should be easy to hold. If it didn't smell so bad I would give it five stars.
